Today received the parts to assemble some EEPROM boards for a Raspberry Pi project I am working on. I have 25 of these to assemble and this is assembly of the first one. I did test it after and it works without any issues.
If there is interest I might do some videos on the Raspberry Pi and how to read/write to this EEPROM. On this project the EEPROM reading/writing is done with a Python script.
The PCB was designed in KiCad, then ordered throught PCBWay. Design of the PCB and making the gerber output files was only an hour or two.
Submitted the order on Sunday evening, had the boards delivered Thursday in the afternoon.
Similarly, the parts were ordered through DigiKey Monday night, had them Thursday afternoon as well.
These are the tools that I am using:
Hakko FX-951 soldering iron
Hakko FR-803 hot air rework
Amtech NC-559-V2-TF solder flux
