@@ChristcrossCrafts nice!!!! I have heard mixed things on their lift. A lot of people regret it. Check out the incra lift it’s also made by jessem. It also has magnetic plates which are awesome!

I glanced at it but like the four-post chain lift design. It's less likely to move or shift compared to the 2 or 3 post options. @@kevinb6102

If you are referring to the power plug, it's a standard 220 with horizontal and ground.

Hi! I like your video. Can I ask you the factory height of the saw deck? Looking at pictures of sawstop table saws, they look sort of too low, uncomfortably low to work on. How high exactly was your outfeed table? Thanks! Keep up the great work!
@ChristcrossCrafts
Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching. On the mobile base, it's 34 and about 1/2. I think saw only is 34 tall. I'm 5'-6" and find it ideal. Personally, a little shorter wouldn't hurt, lol. My outfeed is the same height now, after I raised the saw 3/4".

How much of a "lip" is there between the saw case and the edge of the cast iron top? Enough to use lifting straps and a block & tackle to lift the saw high enough to get the mobile stand underneath? Sawstop says find 4 strong friends to lift it...
@ChristcrossCrafts
Жыл бұрын
There is enough space for straps. I didn't have a way of hoisting it or 3 strong friends available, so I got it done the only way I knew how.
@davezak5870

I didn’t trust the very small lip, so I first attached both cast iron wings before using straps and my chain hoist to lift it onto my ICS base

@@davezak5870 Thanks for the gentle reminder to follow up... there was enough of a lip to use my 1" lifting straps (just outside the cabinet) and get the saw on the ICS. Nice and stable for the 4-5" up-and-down lift. Would have made a terrible piñata...
@ChristcrossCrafts

@Dave Zak yeah, I didn't have a hoist option so I left the wings off. Had I thought it through further, I would have added the wings, jacked it up, and let it down.

I had to move them when I had to raise the saw to elevate it to match my old outfeed

Oh right that makes sense, sorry if I missed that. I'm debating on not screwing mine down, I get that it would be more secure but something about randomly drilling holes into a new saw just feels wrong. Too bad they don't pre-drill and thread it.@@ChristcrossCrafts

Hi man. what is the third leg on the right of the saw ? I'm really curious !
@ChristcrossCrafts
Жыл бұрын
I got the larger over arm dust tube. It has a leg that extends to the floor, as well as cross brackets, because it's considerably more heavy than the smaller one that mounts to the back of the saw.

Was that a saw stop router table wing or an aftermarket wing?
@ChristcrossCrafts

That is the sawstop wing. I preferred the left side over the right.

Why did you make the comment aboit screwing in the mobile base to the cabonet. I am about to assemble mine. Are the screws not required?
@ChristcrossCrafts

They aren't required, but rare definitely recommended. After I had to shim the machine, I had to relocate mine to accommodate the new height.

@@ChristcrossCrafts Some of us have higher standards, particularly when the manufacture states on their web site: "Most accurate job site saw available". Blatant lie.
