Following Russia’s unsuccessful initial invasion and attempt to seize the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, the Russian military has reoriented its offensive to Ukraine’s east, attempting to seize the Donbas and annex portions of the country. Please join the CSIS International Security Program for a discussion on Russia’s military efforts, Ukraine’s military resistance, and opportunities for the United States and its allies and partners to assist Ukraine.
Seth G. Jones, Senior Vice President, Harold Brown Chair, and Director of the International Security Program at CSIS will be joined by Eliot A. Cohen, Arleigh A. Burke Chair in Strategy at CSIS; Emily Harding, Deputy Director and Senior Fellow in the International Security Program at CSIS; and the Honorable Michael Vickers, former Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and CIA operations officer.
This event is made possible by general support to CSIS.
