Can you get a metal cog kit to replace all the plastic ones? Why do new cars love cheap plastic so much and change you a fortune

It was not very wrong of you to think about a dirty manifold. No matter what, me personally takes the manifold off. Just for peace of mind. I was thinking for a moment that you forgot about the stripped threads. luckily you didn't. Nice video Luis.

I am not a mechanic either...🤪 It is not a problem... Just make sure you don't crank the engine once you start removing stuff and you will be fine... 👍👍👍

My last car was a 2013 Astra J (2.0 diesel). I really liked that car. Anyway cracking bit of fixing going in here. I was about to say “at least it’s not been butchered beforehand” but then was saw inside the valve and those scratch marks 👀🔨

Great video Luis! Did you try actuating the manifold runner on your scan tool after you'd replaced the actuator? I'm interested to know if you were able to see any change in engine rpm etc when it was motoring properly? I have a friend with an insignia with hard starting and rough idle when engine cold. Lots of parts changed, now wondering if it might be the manifold runner. It appears to actuate on a scan tool but with no change to rpm, maf etc.

I don't recall now if I tested it that way or not... whatever I done is on the video... That said, you should at least some change in the engine tone... as the air is diverted... I would say...👍👍👍👍

Why is it saying DPF full when there's no code's
@LMAutoRepairs
2 жыл бұрын
I guess a normal necessary regeneration does not trigger any codes... Wait for the next video...😉 To be fair, I am of the option that every car fitted with a DPF, should warn the driver when a regeneration is taking place... that way, you could ensure that is was completed nearly every time, and therefore avoiding many DPF related issues, caused by to many incompleted regenerations etc... 👍👍👍
