Thank you for this very informative upload. I would just add at the 1:52 point that ZWO cameras (at least these days) come with a M42-M48 Adapter (I think you misspoke when you said "58/52mm").

Currently I'm using virtually the same equipment. Would there be - in your eyes - a significant benefit adding a Zwo EAF autofocusser (3D printed mounting Kits are available, one made by Starizona) and/or adding a guide scope?

I have the same setup, except I have been using an MSM star tracker. I am going on safari to Southern Africa soon and am planning to upgrade my mount. I was hoping to get the Skywatcher SA GTi or the iOptron Skyhunter but it looks like they won't become available for a while. So, I guess I will have to resort to the AZ GTi . I hope I won't have buyers' regret when the newer mounts are available, but I guess the AZ should still be a significant upgrade from my star tracker....particularly since it's so hard to polar align in the Southern Hemisphere!

I have not had any regrets about buying the SW AZ-GTi after updating the firmware to have EQ function. Everything I do with it is in EQ configuration. With the ASIAIR pro or Plus I do not need a polar scope and plate solving means no alignment steps

@@outtherewithjohnny Thanks for the encouraging reply. I just ordered the AZ. I'm not ordering a wedge because I already have the Benro gd3wh which, according to posts on CN, seems to do the trick. What is the name of the hard case you are using?
