Awesome video, great way to reduce e-waste and give an old monitor new life !

My office's commercial kuereg coffee machine was doing the same thing (on off.. couldn't start). I replaced the main capacitors on the main board and it worked like new. Many hundreds of dollars saved.

Great Video. I'm a mechanic, not an electrician, but with the help of this video I could fix my monitor.

Well ... although he doesn't say anything about the grade of caps to use, this video is one of the VERY few that actually does use the right type. I can see he's using what appears to be Panasonic FC series caps. Low-ESR type caps are required on switching power supplies. Thumbs up for that one.

great fix, I don't know if you noticed but you also improved the quality of the capacitors and always a good idea if it's possible to do that

Older devices were made to last. Newer devices are made to break. I prefer to keep my older devices working as well.

Just by its self with nothing plugged in ? To be honest, dont know. I am not a monitor specialist and never will be. They are cheap, take allot of space and are not worth repairing for that reason.

At first look i didn't remember this crap PSU but i know that for the bad ELITE caps to make sure that don't fail again in short time at the primary you have like a 22uf 50v caps that go bad too, and i think that now you are noticing that you are not shadowbanned 🙂

@@FR4M3Sharma Not really. Quality caps can't compete with Chinese garbage on price. I personally prefer to pay higher prices, rather than play the Chinese lottery.

@@leonyltupasan It wasn't stated that those were from China, and everything doesn't come from China. Japan, Taiwan, and several other countries also produce capacitors and other components.

Hi. maybe you can answer this question that I have? Ive got a 27" touch all-in-one from 2014. it still works flawlessly but the screen started to flicker for a few months then today it went really dark and now there's also a heavier dark bottom right corner. techs say the monitor cannot be repaired. that I will have to throw it out and buy something new. why? it sounds lie it's a bulb or capacitor or something simple. they said the light are infused into the actual screen and can't be replaced. this seems logical but really stupid. so, is there no fixing this all-in-one pc at all?
