Using the same ink for a pen comparison is a great idea but so seldom done. The line test with a word or at least letter would be interesting. I don’t draw figure 8’s (mine look like wiggly lines). But how many pens do I need/want? Apparently one more after this video. Thanks for that 😂. Do any Chinese makers offer a Pilot Custom 743 look alike.

Thanks, I try and use the same ink, where possible, but most of the time I do end up with different inks. I'm not sure if any Chinese companies make that, it may be worth searching on AliExpress to see what they come up with.

I have a P20 in the Amber body. Beautiful design and a very good writing instrument, smooth fine lines (like a Japanese Fine) and not scratchy. The body is translucent, so you can actually see the ink sloshing around inside the barrel. I agree with one of the comments that it is Leonardo MZ Inspired. I also own a Tibaldi N60 and the shape their resin bodies (except the N60 has a cartridge converter, so no piston ring) look almost exactly alike.

The P20 was the first Asvine in my collection. It has been a great pen with a lovely acrylic and the nib is very smooth. I never had a 699, so I cannot comment on its performance, but it seems like a good performer. I do like the ink window on the P20. It's big enough to be usable, though the other pens used in the comparison were larger. I have no qualms with the winner

@@GarryEves I just got the Platinum President. It has a #6 18K nib and is the size of the MaJohn P136 and Montblanc 146. It is possibly the smoothest Platinum nib I ever used. Is it no longer being made but there are plenty available. You will not be disappointed with this pen.

The other day I mentioned under another pen revierwer's video that the P20 is Momento Zero inspired and some people went balistic. Apparently I shouldn't have dared to say it was "inspired". Gald to know I'm not the only one to think it is actually inspired haha.
