Such sad news about Angie’s daughter, can’t imagine the pain she/they went through, as a parent, losing a child is the very worst. My dad had the biggest crush on her, and I can see why…she’s beautiful. I always respected her as a person & a great actress, loved her in “Police Woman” tv role she was strong-gorgeous & tough. From Feathers in Rio Bravo to Pepper Anderson in Police Woman, Angie was always one of the Ladies I grew up loving. At first I thought of her as a more flirty Doris Day, then the comparisons I had like that ended as I grew to love Angie more for herself instead of comparing to others. At 92, she is one of the few like Kirk Douglas who maintained their intelligence till very late in life. Douglas lost his at over 98 till his passing at over 103.

Hell i lived less than a mile from Benedict canyon where the Manson murders took place. I'm born and raised in the S'F Valley and i know for a fact beach property was 5% of the value than it is now. There was no stigma about living near the beach back then . Hell i think it was actress Barbara Eden who had foresight and started buying beach property up. I knew plenty of people who lived on or near the beach back then or rented places. And let me give you some advice on life pal. Condescending is a sign of character weakness. To wit, they are entertainers, one step above working in a circus/fair. They are NOT "stars." The majority of us have learned that they are human beings like tgecrest of us, and they need to learn that their decisions have consequences. Don't want the consequences..consequences? The Nancy Sinatra you presented as his wife, was HIS DAUGHTER. Ooops. Sinatra was married to Nancy Barbato, but divorced by 1951 making HER the Ex Wife Angie spoke of. And that Nancy was the mother of Nancy Jr. their daughter. 🤦♀They BOTH named their kids after themselves...like Lucille Ball. It was a thing.

I loved her work thru 1975 and the first season of POLICE WOMAN -- she had been the most charismatic performer, gorgeous and a good actress. But the problem began with the second year of her cop show, when she was pressured into toning down her natural effervescence, leaving Angie seeming like a pleasant but un-focused benchwarmer in her own series. (Although the first year was terrific). She lost her confidence after that and, frankly, never quite got it back... which still makes me mad even today... Until then, she had been the perfect star -- and everybody says she was the nicest lady.

Angie is not only beautiful but a good actress. I always enjoyed watching her. She has that twinkle in her eyes that is flirty but subtle. I'm sorry to hear about her daughter's struggles thru life, it is heart breaking. I pray that Angie and Burt have far more positive memories of their baby girl than questionable ones.

She was an inspiration to girls everywhere. I was 10 and watched her on Police Woman. She called her own shots in the business and in life. She was not just a pawn of powerful men. Even today, she is an independant queen. She still a strong woman that still calls the shots. I admire her greatly.
@debbylou5729

Interesting that you think ‘calling the shots’ is a power move. Being able to create an atmosphere of cooperation is much more powerful than you become an asset to everyone. Calling the shots is just a diva move. I don’t know why your comment stood out to me. Maybe because of the horrific lack of civility we have pushed in our faces all of the time. All in the name of ‘calling the shots’

I always thought Angie Dickinson was amazing and stunning. My dad was born one year before her. He always had a crush on her. He and my mother both when referring to male and female actors they admired would tease each other and say, “She (or he in my mom’s case) can always park their shoes under my bed”. They would laugh and move on. 🎉❤😂

I ‘rewound’ the video to listen to Angie describe her marriage to Burt …and thought to myself…that is exactly how I felt about my ex… that he didn’t have much respect for me …and that he didn’t love me enough for me to feel fulfilled with him. I should have seen the sign when his mother after saying hello to me for the first time said, “when I was 16 years old, I was forced to marry him”…and she pointed to her husband across the room.
