The early 2000’s were the best of times, with things like Harry Potter, LOTR, Spider-Man, X-Men, and PlayStation, and the worst of times with things like September 11th and the War on Terror, along with for me personally our family being kicked out of the apartment I was born into, being forced to move into a new town where the teachers could be cruel, and the traumatic loss of my grandmother Just hearing about September 11th brings me back to all of these intense feelings TMI but man I guess that’s just how life goes. I love pretty much every decade before the trash of 2010+ but the more I think about it the more I realize how beautiful and special the 00s were. There was something very vibrant about that time. Creatively booming, devs were trying new things with games, incredible time for music, the debut of the killers, the sounds - dying to say this to you album, nintendocore, Beck made an album using a modded gameboy as an instrument, synths were used in music to inject serotonin into your brain, halo partys all over the place. Technology boost without ruining the minds of people with social media and smart phones. Everything about this decade was just feel good so much fun, I miss it!

Many people have fond memories of driving out to a Best Buy or any other store to buy a new game, console, movie... does anyone get misty-eyed memories about downloading something? Ordering everything online and having it shipped to us is convenient, yes, and dull. Technology keeps improving and making life more convenient, but the quality of our existence gets worse. The mental and emotional stimulation provided by the challenges of life are no longer there. Everything is just a click away.

@@thegamingchef3304 yea I definitely agree with rock in 2000s improving. Went from grunge and the “world is a vampire” to often relatable lyrics and overall better sounding.
