Sorry for your loss, Eric. My wife and I are heading toward our 30th. Unfortunately, she is struggling with a terrible disease. I keep telling her, no matter what happens, we've already won. We've had almost 30 years with our soulmate in a world surrounded by millions who never felt such companionship and love for 1 day. You too won the game of life. And soon all of us will be on to the next adventure, possibly reunited for more great times. Nothing is ever lost. Peace be with you, brother.

@@tammylovett5044 Highly unfortunately so. I even be wary of super religious women who like to have other women in a Catch-22, and even backing up men who are not upright. I believe in the Lord, but I am a spiritual believer in the Lord instead of religious. Yes, I believe in the verse about submission, and respect husband, but I also do not go straight to calling a woman a feminist, Jezebel, or Eve without knowing her story on why she does not submit and respect husband. Some women have honest reasons, some don't. I do not pretend men are infallible. Some men are upright, others are not upright and not worthy of a Proverbs 31. A good upright spouse is someone you earn by being upright yourself. You are not above sowing into what you want to reap. I don't put men on pedestals, as they are equal to women and not superior.

As a woman, this video sort of triggered me because I think having gendered roles growing up in a very traditional, patriarchal family was difficult for me-I often found it unfair that my father was able to sit around and wait to be served, criticize me for not being a “good enough” daughter (by way of helping and supporting him) while my mother took care of the majority of the cleaning, cooking, child rearing all while working a full time job. My father was also incredibly controlling over the way money was spent, and lost the money my sister earned during her internship to a investment scheme. He held all of the power and failed to provide any of the emotional nurturance, was incredibly controlling about the way family money was spent, and was either completely emotionally absent, critical and judgmental, or volatile while I was growing up. I guess I have a very different perspective about gendered roles than many others. Edit: I guess I should also note my dad was physically abusive. I was terrified and often felt unsafe around him. I still have trouble feeling safe around men in general because of my childhood experiences.

People absolutly fall behind. I'm a stay at home, homeschool mother of two, and we recently all had a nasty bug for about a week. There's no one to cover for us when we are ill! Plus there's the added duty of caring for a sick family (making tea, extra laundry, etc.) It's hard to catch up after something like that, and it takes time, but I just try to do a few extra things a day until things are right again. AND (this is a shocker to people with funny ideas about a traditional marrige) my husband steps in to help. I try to simplify meals during times like that too. Lots of crock pot meals. Nobody makes pasta from scratch everyday. Don't let the internet fool you. You'll fall behind sometimes. Illness, appliances breaking, teething babies, unexpected responsibilities for family, just LIFE stuff. Unfortunately, life doesn't care about a super well thought out cleaning schedule. It sounds like youre burnt out. It happens when you've been at this for more than four months. That can be really hard to deal with, because like I said, no one covers for us. When I feel that way, I do what I can to rest and my husband supports me in that. Getting away for an afternoon or two helps me. It will be okay if you have sandwiches and canned soup for a few dinners. Take a bath, send the kids to be early and do something you enjoy. If you go to church, see if there's a women's retreat coming up. Sometimes we have to just push through the burn out, but we also need rest. If anyone wants to give you crap for it, remind yourself that men take vacations from their jobs. We may not get vacations like that, but we can find ways to make do.

Ask for help. There are times where I’m so burnt out, I’ll call my sister to help me clean. It’s not often but having your family help is a great thing.

Thank you so much for the kindness in your comment ❤ I too fall behind I think we all do to be honest and it’s okay! Take a little bit of time on each task until you feel caught up. No matter what week I always end up falling behind and slowly get caught back up. There are times when I do struggle to get motivated to clean and cook and I always put on a pretty dress and apron and get some sunlight… then I feel much better and get into the day. Gratitude is my word for the year and I try and feel that daily ❤ I hope this makes sense and doesn’t sound scrambled 🥰

Hi, Estee! Your dinner looked delicious! Also, you may want to take a look at a half moon knife or mezzaluna knife. It helps tremendously with chopping ingredients - including the leaves if you want them smaller than scissors can give. AND it avoids chopping your fingertips with the rest of the food! 😂

I think any “hate” you get is because there’s a stigma that traditional wives are mistreated by some overly toxic masculine man that takes advantage of them. When in reality, both partners can be respectful, have their roles and it doesn’t have to be so extreme. Men can help with kids, cleaning and cooking if a woman feels overwhelmed. I think a lot of women that claim to be feminists would rather a marriage like this instead of being ghosted, cheated on, abused and a guy who just wants to hook up. But unfortunately in our culture feminism is “in” right now. Again, not being a feminist doesn’t mean you think women should be dummies and cater to some abusive dominant males needs. It really can be a mutually respectful relationship where both partners have their roles.

*Make sure you make a wise decision about who you marry.* Find a kind, generous and loyal man. Don't ignore red flags and get trapped with a manipulative person. Thankfully, Narcissists are fairly easy to identify and AVOID when you know what to look for by learning about body language, deception detection and narcissistic behavior patterns. Good luck out there!

I'm 31 and it's really tough to find a nice man with traditional values these days. I've pretty much given up on dating. The next man I want to be with intimately, I also want him to be my partner and husband and maybe the father to my children. But we live in a world where it's really hard to find that one who is perfect for you. I'm happy I have my brother in my life to remind me to respect myself and not settle. Family values are so important. Much love to you and your husband. I wish you all the best❤

It's so fake I wanna throw up. As for the wife I'm who's really preparing everything we eat in a day plus husband's fucking lunch boxes I sometimes feel so tired of preparing but still try to make them everyday ... Truly speaking, it's not like that video AT ALL. You either dress up and enjoy yourself after your job or you change into your greasy homewear and make 3-course meal without being really into it and after finishing you just fell asleep immediately sometimes forgetting to take a shower, or you don't really do the cleaning that much and just buy your food from the store and then, maybe you have some time saved to make your makeup or hair. Wifes are not magical fairy or something, if we make extra housework we don't have time to enjoy ourselves 😂
