I have had the Lumia 900 since its release and I'm still impressed by it everyday. It has performed every task i have ever commanded it to without hiccup or pause. The OS is so efficient you would think there was a laptop's worth of hardware inside. The user interface is very efficient as well. I utilize the ME Tile every time i use the phone. If you have ever been curious about WP, the Lumia 900 really showcases it.

Great and fair comparison. But I must say, as a Google Mail, Calendar and Contacts user, these services work flawlessly with Windows Phone as well. Well integrated and very smooth performance all over. Only gripe is Google search, which is displaced by Bing search, which isn't that bad tbh. But Google search is definitely missed.

Awesome non biased review. I had the Lumia and returned it for the One X. I am a self admitted android fanboy but I wanted to at least give wp7 a chance and now I can safely say it is not for me. I enjoy the flexibility and customization of Android. One thing I do disagree with in the video is battery life. My one X (no LTE in my area) blows the Lumia out of the water. I can easily make it through a full day and into the next where the lumia required nightly charging.

1] Social integration on WP7 in general is simply amazing especially facebook and twitter and although you can download separate apps on wp7 I prefer the built in ones as they simply quicker 2) Facebook chat is another built in feature which almost works real time on the wp7 as compared to my sgs2 which isnt that good at all 3) Last of all If you sign in your google mail on wp7 it will also sync your mail calendar and contacts which is preety neat. 4) With PIN TO START on wp7 no need of apps

I got my Lumia for free--Pre-ordered it on April 4 and it was delivered April 6 for $99 with a 2 year contract. A number of Lumia 900's had a data connectivity issue which Nokia corrected with an update within 10 days of the phone's release. Nokia provided all Lumia owners with a $100 credit. Free phone, works perfectly, unlike my LG G2X which was the buggiest Android phone I ever owned. I love my Nokia & WP and don't envision going back to Android. I'll never purchase another LG phone.

An an excellent comparison of two of the top smart phones on the market. Unfortunately, in this country we do not have the choice to select a phone on use it on the network of our choosing, but that's for a different conversation. This review looks at the features that matter to the common person, not just tech junkies like most of us. In my opinion, it seems like most reviewers focus on the features that matter to their highly demanding tasks, not how most people will use the device.

I recently gave WP7 a try an this is what I don't like: - No gapless music playback, no app on the market that supports it. - You can't copy-paste numbers on the phone dialer. -You can’t use the phone as a USB Storage device. - You can only transfer files to the PC using Zune, and even so, You can only transfer music, videos and photos, for every other file you have to upload it to your skydrive or dropbox and them download individually to your phone. -You can't take screenshots.

You really helped a lot of people with that info. Nokia should have embraced Android just as Samsung and HTC did. Nokia phones are stuffed with useless content while other phones are far ahead. There is no way of extending the memory in the phone due to no SD card slot and there is no means of backing up your personal files on the phone. Sorry but i would go the HTC way here.

Thnx for the review. I've been using a Nokia Lumia 800 for about 4 months now, and I'm not going back to android anytime soon. WP7 is quicker, prettier and far more stable than android is. The lack of apps is not that bad on WP7, and that's coming from a smartphone nerd. The only thing that I wasn't able to find was a DLNA streaming app (to view videos from my NAS). Nokia Drive is amazing, by the way. Free turn by turn navigation, worldwide offline maps included.

Ok, fair enough. I can't save it directly to Sky Drive. You were correct on that particular method. Regardless, you point out a single obscure detail and make a generalization of the entire platform. There are many things that Windows Phone does that Android just doesn't do. Facebook/Twitter service integration like checking in, post liking, Facebook picture integration, facebook chat, etc. And why would i want dropbox when skydrive has more functionality and does the exact same stuff?

The screen on the Lumia is phenomenal--especially in direct sunlight. The least reflectivity tested on any smartphone to date. The camera is avg, but the build quality of the phone is great and WP7 isn't at all like Windows Mobile 6.5 or earlier. It really is a great OS and getting better.

Some great points in the video. Both great devices, but I have to agree - day-to-day, I'm really liking my Windows Phone (Lumia 710). There is customization of the home screen - the LiveTiles are, well, lively and appealing visually to me; the OS's integration with various social and cloud services is seamless; scrolling/zooming/etc. is extremely smooth and responsive. Had an iPhone for years, but not regretting switching. Definitely would recommend a WinPhone to those looking for a new device.

Regardless of the Lumia's flaws (and it has some major camera ones), there is a reason that Windows Phones are reviewed in a good light and are always at the top of user reviews. A clean, simple OS that is feature rich and doesn't require you to be the guy standing in a room of hot chicks looking at your phone. Windows Phone is 7 of the top 10 highly rated phones on Amazon. That's saying something.

I personally like One X coz it offers more than lumia and I'm used to android in every possible way. But lumia could be my next option and I hope Nokia won't stop improving their build. It obviously lacks of many things iOS and Android can offer to.

I use the People Hub because it does exactly what I need it to do, so I can put my phone back into my pocket and do other things. You must be one of those people who sit there in a room full of people on your phone, and that may be where we are different. I check my status, I like a status, then put my phone back into my pocket. Simple as that and I believe the video reflects that point. You're right, people hub does lack some functionality, but it does not suck in the slightest.

There is a reason why Windows Phone holds 7 out of the top 10 positions in "Best rating" on Amazon and is consistently in the top rated phones on any US or international carrier. We are seeing a void between user experience and hype. Those who own Windows Phones love the experience and are willing to say so. There is a reason the Lumia 900 has over 320 votes on Amazon while the Droid RAZR MAXX (which has been out much longer) only has 70 votes or so. More people are happy with the WP.

The only statement that I think was unfair is when it was stated that it takes "a long time to get it configured just right"... that's wrong. It takes a couple of minutes to get it working %100 and then you can customise a lot, or nothing at your leisure. Surely that's better than a quick set up & then no where to go? Other than that, pretty fair comments. Oh and Mr Presenter, stop missing calls from your Mom! :D

The difference between these technologies is that mobile phone advancement paces twice as fast than any tech right now... Software integ

It have never let me down in all that time. No lags and if I think back no real bug a fuck off moment. APPS and GAMES... there is no APP that I didn´t found till today. I've used the Galaxy S2 and now use the Lumia 800 and I have to disagree on: 1.The video recording in 720p of the Lumia. Photo's are really not good, but playing back video on my pc surprised me in comparison to the photo's. 2.I dare say that Windows Phone 7.5 is almost as good as Android at integrating Google's services. Being an Android user, I am quite partial to the One X (which is why I have one), and do not much like the interface of the Lumia. Android (One X) is more customizable and has a greater selection of apps than the Windows Phone Lumia. The Lumia does seem to run slightly faster. However, as said in the video, it is technically slower. On the whole, I would say the One X is better, due to better processing, customization, more apps, But personal preference takes precedence, its your phone. :)

-also the official facebook app lacks the features of its iOS/Android equivalents, (eg. you can't share a picture on your friends walls, just in yours), and even if you access the mobile facebook site it shows differently as it would do in Android. WP8 seems to solve most of this issues, but still no gapless music playback, which is really annoying if you were planning on using your phone as mp3 player, On the bright site of WP it is very a very stable OS, and you'll get updates faster.
