Loving this content! I'm hooked on collecting any brand of mini arcades but most just sit in their boxes in storage or on the shelf unplayed while I do most gaming on Switch or Xbox, so there is the constant thought I am just wasting my money to try and 'get the set' but I guess that's always a struggle with people who are into something like this haha. With this new wave coming I know once I start to buy them I will no doubt try to get them all. There are a few Atari games there that I've never seen IRLand I would really love to play. Some Atari games never made it to Australia back in the day, or were just so rare here thet few people even knew of them. I agree that the unit isn't the best option to play Atari games. I don't know if you do this kind of thing, Jon, but I really would love to see someone do a hardware hack that allows output to a fullsized monitor and input from a regular Atari joystick. It seems odd that they didn't offer a monitor-out port. There are game compilation handhelds of far less quality that do have a monitor-out available so it seems bit weird that My Arcade opted not to do so with this unit.

Not a bad unit. I also picked up on the fact that the emulation does seem slightly slower than the actual hardware (I could tell mostly from the way the unit sounds. Everything is pitched just slightly lower than is normal, and this would also contribute to why there's more flicker). So you definitely aren't imagining that. Otherwise, it's not a bad unit, really. I have a handheld 2600 unit that was released a few years ago from AtGames, and this unit appears to be using similar emulation (the difficulty switch settings are identical on this unit to the handheld one I have). It's also interesting that they added a few commercially-released NES games from back in its day as some of the bonus titles. I guess those are all titles that Piko Interactive picked up on.

you are right PONG was not a 2600 game BUT when you think of it, this Micro Player Pro is NOT about the 2600 games this unit IS about ATARI games not just the games on the 2600 and PONG IS AN ATARI GAME.

I see your point. Still, it's a bit misrepresentative. Nothing I'm upset about. 😃

@@GenXGrownUp I dont really think its really that unrepresentative since the box does not state that this is an Atari 2600 arcade style console but it does state that its the Atari 50th anniversary game handheld, albeit in an arcade cabinet shape, with 100 games 77 of which are from the 2600 console. I have the Atari 50th Anniversary game cart for my switch, which i think is fantastic and a must buy if you are a fan or even if your not, and in that cart they have Atari games from many of their consoles as well as Arcade ports and prototypes an i was sort of hoping to see some of that in these machines. but what they have is still great and fun to play i am just hoping that these will make their way into Canada. it would have been really cool if they had included plug in ports for external accessories like a paddle or trackball or even a joystick for 2 player play but i guess they are leaving that up to their other console the game station pro. Thanks.

Are they're any Activision games?

I flip through all the games at 7:55 - Boxing is there as well as a Megamania clone known as Space Raid.

This is very cool, but not having the joystick twist to function as a paddle is a real shortcoming for a machine that includes Warlords. Also, why does Atari insist on including the Swordquest games in every compilation? Guys, it was a neat concept, and the comics were good, but the games themselves are terrible!

The Bonus Games are essentially 25 NES games licensed from Piko...oh man, it doesn't have any sense! Why not bringin' some Atari arcade or 7800 games rather than some NES ones? What a bad idea they had to ruin at such a level a celebrative product ...
