Thanks for posting this. I smile every time I see one work. Always interesting to see where people have modified the original design and yours look pretty good to me.

Nice work! We have 2 PCNC 1100 Series 3 machines here, neither of them with the power draw bar (let alone ATC). Any chance you'd be willing to have a phone or Zoom call to discuss this build?

I feel like the power draw bar is a need to have if you have any need to expedite production. The ATC is super helpful if you have more than a couple of tool changes. The design is based on the one David made at xoomspeed.com/CNC/atc/atccontroller.htm . I bought the electronics from him. He is brilliant and is the real source of intellect for this project. I just modified the design to fit my 770 (his is for a 440) and a few changes that I wanted. If you have the mill already, you could totally make your own in a few months.

Is there an open source machine tool community or is that an author?

@@lizzyfrizzy4969David Loomes has done a fantastic job. He is very helpful and the ATC is a great design. Join the group there is good info there. You can DIY the ATC for about a third of the Tormach. More tools and better design. kzitem.info/news/bejne/xYFpr2ZtfZWCnW0
