no help from Aterzr support they ghosted me. I got tied of waiting and I was going to take out the board to see if I could one from from another supplier. I got mad because the screw stripped out so i hit the board housing and it started working. so far that been my fix.

Hi Mike - I have a couple of suggestions. If there is a screen where you tell it how far to jog left/right, make sure it's not set to 0. If it has X limit switches, make sure they are not pressed preventing it from moving. Maybe you could disconnect a Y motor and hook the wires up to the X motor, then jog it forward a little just to see if the x motor works. That would narrow it down to a motor problem, or no power to the motor.

Good idea Steve I’ll check that tonight. The limit switch I have all ready checked those are fine.

If your x and y axis steppers are the same you could swap the leads and retest. If the problem changes then it's the control board, if it stays the same then it's the stepper. It could be the wiring too, but if it tests good with a meter and never works I would agree it's probably a control board or stepper issue. If it intermittently works I would check with another wire to eliminate that possibility. I am local to you, a 96 grad of the shirt you are wearing, and I have some shielded 4 strand wire if you wanted a chunk to test with.

It would be a pain to tear apart to swap the motors, but I was able to make a jumper to extend the cable to the other motor. I got no movement, but I did get another error saying out of range. Though maybe I hit the limit switch. I check those they are are working. Wired back up as normal still nothing. kind of just ran into more questions.

Hello Michael glad to see you're uploading again. I don't know anything about saws so maybe someone else here with more knowledge can help.

I had a very similar problem with my P20 and it began a couple months after I got it. I had been using it quite a bit by this time. Mid job it lost left-right control. I checked everything, several times and eventually, I found that one of the wires that go into the male connectors for the stepper motor on the gantry had shorted out right at the connection and the wire had separated from the connector. It was very hard to see as it was right as the wire entered the back of the connector. I ordered new wire tabs for the connector and that fixed the issue. But since this has happened again this time at the connector at the laser. I did the same fix and it works fine again. Unfortunately, I had the same problems with the customer service. My P20 does not do grey scale so it takes 5 times longer to do a small image... Never got a working answer to fix this problem. I am not very happy with this laser. Hopefully you have since solved the problem.

I also have this machine and one of the lenses broke without really knowing why. And I confirm that the technical service is horrible. 1.5 months to get a part is horribly long when it's your livelihood. I'm sorry, I have no idea what's causing this problem, but I hope someone will help. Keep harassing the technical department, they are responsible if they sell defective machines. Good luck !

My L2 has been in its box for a while, (priorities), getting back to it. The power turns on, limit switch beeps, cross-hairs ok; but the touch screen is dark. Any suggestions? I don't think I'll be as lucky as you...dreading customer service.

Update for any other unlucky Atezr customers...The screen may not have "started" because I was up against the limit. Now it seems to work with the jog, but when I hit "frame" it just did the same rectangle a million times and no way to stop except turn off main power. The saga continues...

It seemed to help once i got into the main board and reseated all the connections. I would start with that. Good luck getting any help from Atezr customer service.

@@mfwoodshop thanks for getting back, and thank God I didn't have to fool with the board...turns out it was just sitting on the limit switch. I found out by accident, but I'll take it!

Did you ever get it working?

yes, but by mistake. I hit it one day and it started working. I found out after the metal bracket that mounts the mother board. was not glued down and making contact with the board.

Did this fix it in the long term? I am having the same problem. I removed the x axis stepper motor and just connected it to the y axis and the motor worked so I am going to look at wiring and control module.@@mfwoodshop
