Newsflash, I am an Atheist, yes I enjoyed it These tears were my own way of expressing appreciation for it. I did not feel any spirit or any Gods. Please stop lying about it. No I wasn’t hurt by my church, please stop lying about it. You’re free to express how this music made you feel as this is a religious song. However, you have no right to tell me how I felt. My emotions are my own and its not yours to define. Respect it or leave my channel.

It's a little strange to react to a spiritual hymn of a religious group and then not want people to share their religious experiences in return. That being said, you are correct that no one can tell you how you are feeling. Although, sometimes when I'm angry people point it out and I hadn't realized it. Or more often, someone helps me understand something I'm feeling. I don't think it's reasonable to have a blanket statement that anyone telling anyone about their view on an emotional response is bad. Spiritual individuals are of course going to point out what they view as a spiritual experience. It's fine to disagree but it's not really surprising or offensive for them to do so.

She loved listening to Vocal Point with me when she was stuck in the hospital. Even though she was mostly deaf, you could tell she could feel the vibration of the music and felt the Spirit. Music...good music...the kind that moves your soul to a higher ground...that kind of music, well, we just cannot help but have our emotions connect our minds with our hearts. I have had this happen to me numerous times and with different genres of music too (it's not because of the content of words that they are singing, but the quality of the harmonies that they sing together that makes us emotional). That "wow" out of the blue arrow just hits the target dead center. I agree with Iris, who said "your discriminating ear never fails you"... it is your ability to hear all the parts individually and simultaneously that sets this reaction apart from all of the others. If you believe in Jesus Christ, and are personally trying to live all or many of his commandments, though not actively attending this, Christ's church, right now, you can still call yourself a Christian (the word means you believe in Jesus Christ) and pray to God the Father, "Heavenly Father, I thank thee for.. ", and end all your prayers sincerely saying, "In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen". Yes. :-) You may end your prayers in the full name of Jesus Christ, because there are many Mexican people who name their sons 'Jesus'... Believe that God the Father is more likely to give attention to, and then give answer to one's sincere prayer for spiritual blessings, if he hears the name of his son, Jesus Christ, at the end of your prayer, before you say the the 'amen' which ends your communication with him for the time being. Avoid foul words in your prayers, as Jesus Christ created 'all things' in the universe, above, on, and in the Earth, very willingly, as was directed by his Father in Heaven, so using the names of those creations, even the word 'Hell' (that Christ created as a place for where 'Satan the Devil' should always reside in forever, eternally forever), should not be used either. Jesus Christ gives us the direction saying, "Swear not at all." :-)

To get the full emotional breadth you must seek to understand the meaning conveyed in BOTH songs witnessing to you of truth in the beauty of sound and harmony. Down In the comments of KZitem Vocal Point versions they have the Latin lyrics and the translation into English which is powerfully triumphant in meaning as well as sublime! Worth it to seek the understanding as you listen again. Check out the meaning of the two songs sung on top of each other to buoy you up with eternal optimism …come what may! He has one of the most insane vocal ranges ever, he can go nearly as low as Matt of PTX and up beyond counter tenor, rivalling full on sopranos). The Latin counter melody is so awesome I can barely express it in words, it gives the song an absolutely amazing vibe!

I find it very respectable that you still can hold respect and see beauty in Christian music even when you are atheist. I think that shows a lot of maturity. I don't think the believers and the non-believers should be at odds with each other because at the end of the day we are human beings who seek the same peace and comforts in life. Unity solves all problems and finding commonality is far better than pinpointing differences.
@QofyReacts

I appreciate your respect 🫡 We’ll have to agree to disagree on the “being at odds” part😂 Believers and non believers have always been at odds because of how both parties think of each other. Especially when some religious doctrine teaches them to disregard non believers and see them as literal “children of the devil” and deserving of destruction in hell at the end of the day… simply for not sharing the same belief system. I find it difficult to ignore that part. It’s sad. I do have friends I love that claim to love me back but simultaneously accept a belief that I in some way deserve to be tortured forever… All I think about them is that I wish them well in all that they do. As I don’t have any baggage towards them. Those 2 things cannot merge. Do you understand my disagreement?
