Hi Joe - wondering how low the hips should go on this movement for maximum benefit?

Hi! I guess that depends on what you’re trying to achieve with the exercise. You can either hinge (like in the video) or squat down, but you’ll find that you need to shift your weight forward and pike the hips in order to kick back anyway. I’m using this exercise for something other than what an athletic burpee is for. You’d benefit more from squatting down before kicking back/driving up for your normal athletic burpees. Hope that helps.
