So, a most amazing version of my good friends guitar licks. I keep striving to reach this level. Thank you, sir.

Great job! The 70s was the best decade hands down! Sadly we will never see this type of musicianship ever again! Music today is looping parts, little chord changes, autotune and no talent! When a album was put out in the 70s it was solid track after track! No fillers!... 😎

ARS is a band that was so scary good and had such tasty guitar work - this is one of their gems and I'm blown away by every aspect of your cover - couldn't be any more on point! Phenomenal job! I saw them open for Bob Seger in 1978 and they were so good live it was crazy. Seger was too - way better live than the studio versions... Great job!

Amazing Guitar work. Loved Barry Bailey and got to see him a couple of times. Outside of the Les Paul how did you get his amazing tone? Any special pedals or amps. I have looked everywhere to find his gear setup , Apparently you have.

Hi my friend. First so sorry for the late replies to your very nice comments here on the ARS songs. Really appreciate your time in listening and commenting on them. I'm totally with you on Barry Bailey and what a fine player he was/is. I believe he and Dean Daughtry the keyboard are the only surviving members. It seems Barry has pretty much disappeared from the music business. He was always one of my favorite players. I recently went down an ARS rabbit hole searching for any live videos of the original band and did actually find several hidden gems I had not seen before. From most everything I've seen Barry is usually playing a Gold Top Deluxe through 2 probably 100 watt Marshalls with single cabs. Also read several articles by different people discussing their recording at Studio One in Doraville. I remember someone also saying he was playing a Deluxe through a Marshall single stack. As far as his tone I tried to get as close as I could. Really I just played around with the EQ settings on my video software after getting a basic tone on the Marshall when I was editing my guitar parts. Anyway I'm happy to meet someone else who appreciates just how good these guys were. Take care and may try and tackle another one here soon...

@@jbl5050 I think using the LP Deluxe was part of the alchemy ... and he hybrid picks (using pick and pulls with his right hand middle and ring fingers). His tone and phrasing were fantastic. No one else had that tone.
