These figures are really special - pretty spooky. Can definitely be used in many scenarios

Once again you've shown me something that I didn't know existed. Atlantic really did go way left field with their sets.

Weird. The helmet on the box art is American but the ammo pouches look like taken from British WW2 webbing equipment. Besdes that I think the most interesting part of the set are the two 3 man groups. The rest doesn't seem to be doing much. One wonders why Atlantic even designed and produced this set. I've said this before I have no real recollection of seeing (m)any Atlantic play sets in toy stores in the 1970s, I almost exclusive went for Airfix (and some Matchbox). That doesn't mean they were not there, but where I live they were probably less available.

I had the HO set and what we used to do was create an aid station at the back of the play area and any soldiers that got wounded in the game would be carried to the aid station for medical treatment and maybe come back into action later on. Or the enemy could overrun it and take everyone prisoner.

Looks like an Italian WWII submachine gun that that guy is holding. Based on the uniforms, these could indeed be Italians.

I went to Newcastle yesterday and got some African Corps and some WWI fighter planes. I see you have Airfix in the background, these are good quality and fun to build. Have you ever tried the games by 3DO? Army men! Their old but fun even though a lot of people didn't like them. I once went to a market and got a Buket O Soldiers from the Disney film Toy Story. Most my spare money goes on 2 things, Fast food and toy soldiers, even though I'm 34 now!!!!

Very interesting set! You have re awakened my love of toy soldiers with your brilliant films😊 Spent most of 1970s playing with airfix 1.76 indoors and 1.32 outside in summer. Still got them!! Up in loft digging them out this morning. Started shopping round to buy some more. You got any recommendations where to shop? Looking forward to seeing more films. Dave in UK.

Great I could could be of help with inspiration. I get most my stuff on Ebay. If you`re in in the US or UK and a few other countries in Europe there should be a few realy good vintage toy and toy soldier fairs. I think you will find more reasonable prices at those compared to Ebay.

These figures look ideal for Halloween, perhaps. The soldiers still have that Atlantic look about them. An unnerving, almost cartoonish style. Great fun to see them in detail here. Thank you for sticking with this range.

@@toysoldiernostalgia Sweet. It's a huge world out there for miniature plastic soldiers. Revell, Hasegawa, Mars, Zvezda, MiniKits, Matchbox, Airfix, Tamiya, Timpo, Britains, Historex to name a few. I do not expect to see them all. I am delighted with what you are doing.

In the 80s and 90s, the "Airfix" World War II German Soldier set was copied and sold by the Turkish toy company "Pilsan". There was one different soldier figure. Instead of the machine gun assistant, there was the radioman figure in the British unit.
