Great video! I love all sub genres of DnB, but the crazy aggressive, jump up, and liquid styles do seem to flood KZitem. Atmospheric, intelligent, and minimal needs more attention for sure!

I love the resurgence recently, especially the 90's video game inspired ones like pizza hotline

An interesting video, thanks for making. Personally I find that the purely atmospheric pad based tracks need to be balanced with tunes that make more use of cool arpeggios & ostinato or some jazzy chords (nothing too complex) as the main features.

It's truly remarkable that there are individuals persisting in this unparalleled journey within the "Atmospheric drum and bass" (Intelligent drum and bass) music genre. What I most desire from this genre is a greater diversity of drum variations, as opposed to a singular, repetitive rhythm. However, achieving this with exceptional quality proves to be exceptionally challenging. Where might I have the opportunity to experience your compositions?

Check out some Photek's work from the mid-late 90's, his beats were truly astounding.

Dig for atmospheric JUNGLE then, - that has what you're looking for. Some (newer) producers to checkoit would be: Artificial Red, IJO, Kloke, Coco Bryce, Law, Thugwidow

Interesting. In US, the closest I got to IDM would have been the Orb. I loved their music, but I couldn't find anything else I thought was nearly as good. Electronic music (outside of Rap) just wasn't very big here. Years later I discovered Jazzanova, through Micatone, who I think are brilliant -although not IDM, I would say they borrowed from it. Can you provide a list or a video for an essential listening guide to this music? There are a lot of compilations out there but they are VERY mixed bags. Good video! Thanks!

I started going to raves in 99/2000 and it was all trance and house. I was fine with that, but did wish I could find parties with dj’s spinning DnB. Got into IDM and DnB before going to raves. Aphex Twin, Autechre, Square Pusher, Future Sound of London, Photek, Source Direct, etc…
