Mono has the softer sides of envy basically stretched out. I think you would love Mono - Pure as snow. It's such an underrated song. It's a bit of a shame nobody has reacted to it.

This Envy album represents how the band grew and doesn't care about staying in any genre at all, I feel like it's one of the first bands I heard of the genre and I completely stuck with it, they generate all kinds of feelings in me and they inspired me in every band I had, musically I can say that this band influenced me A LOT as a guitarist, everything is beautiful, even live they can continue to transmit all of that, great analysis as always, thnx!!!

During my first time living in Japan in the late 90's, in between designing and printing T-shirts, I'd head down to Tokyo and see Envy (among others play). Back then there was way more post hardcore and way less post rock in the music but it was always incredible. Saw some incredible bands that really opened my mind, Envy not least in that list.

Its Anathema alike. Growls and melodeclamation makes it different. Overall good piece of music, liked it a lot

Since they did tour with Explosions in the Sky and I think used to be on their same label yeah they were influenced by them. Right on

Love Envy. The 2001 and 2003 albums were, for me, their peak. After that they had some cool songs here and there, but not at the level of those 2 albums.

Their instrumentals are awesome and the singers intensity is cool but his monotone delivery gets very VERY old.
