So basically, future Eren influenced Grisha to spare Rod Reiss as he slaughtered the rest of the Royal Family in the past, so that Historia could grow up to later defeat him and claim the throne as the rightful Queen, so that Eren could later kiss her hand after returning from the Shiganshina mission at the end of Season 3, and inherit these future memories.

So the attack titan needed royal power (kissing historia's hand) to fully inherit all his future memories? interesting
@Greyscale11

Eren telling Grisha to spare Rod is never stated, though. I think that's just how things happened to go down rather than it being planned by Eren to that degree. Rod had run the farthest by the time Grisha dropped his knife and they all turned back, even if in doing so he was leaving his family, his children, behind to be closer to the threat. Probably to imply that he's rather cowardly. That's also reflected in the fact that he tried to manipulate Historia into inheriting the founding titan rather than burden himself with it.

And it was all Eren's Destiny, although many people says he was making the cause and villain in this season, but in my opinion, he was "the chosen one" by Ymir to made all of this to happen. I dont think Eren wanted rumbling and killing people in the future, but he can't defeat what Ymir has settle up his fate. So, basically, Ymir is like a god, from the where Eren was born, Ymir has settle up all this thing and how Eren ended his life. He can't change he's fate no matter how hard he tried. The true villain in this whole show was King Fritz tbh.

@@msbean0901 I think this is very misunderstood. The future being set in stone doesn't mean there is no free will. For example in our realify the future is set in stone too. Think about it if you change the future then that is the only future that was meant to be. The multiple timeline theory is flawed and is pretty much impossible. You can estimate the future but what ever happens was meant to be. Also your comment is super spoilery and I believe some parts of it are incorrect. SPOILERS Ymir was not a God nor a devil she was born in this world free as a human. Not a Queen or Slave. These are just things that others believed her to be. The origin of life that she touched is not just plametary life but universal life and we know this because of the paths being free from time and space. So what she touched was linked to power before the universe even. This may be the reason people saw her as a "Goddess" clearly she was not as she needed Eren and Mikasa to set her free and lift the curse. If she was an omnipotent being she would not require any assistence. You could argue she planned this story which is true but she also told Eren he had free will and it was his choices that lead him to the future and what he chose. Eren "Keeps moving forward" focusing on the future. The rest of the world is constantly tied up by the past (sins, wars, conflicts etc). SPOILERS ‐----------- Eren moved forward and was free and helped others move forward and become free. He isn't some hero he wanted freedom and he achieved it not just for himself but for his friends too although in an immoral way.

Eren whispered in Isayama's ear and told him to write this story On a serious note, it's really scary how Grisha, someone who was so anti-Marley and pro-Eldia, saw one glimpse of Eren's plan and was like, "Zeke. You have to stop him." Despite Grisha's hate for Marley and how far he was willing to go, even HE thought his plan was too far. He was genuinely horrified. Whatever Eren's plan is, Grisha does not want it to happen. Speaking of, Zeke and Grisha finally getting to work out their issues and hug each other in a moment of pure love is really heartwarming. Grisha understood his mistakes when raising Zeke before. Instead of only treating him as a tool, he treats him as his son. Zeke is finally able to take his first step towards closure after years of trauma. Even if they had their differences, Grisha and Zeke can at least agree with one thing: Stopping Eren...

Sure, Eren's badass but let's be honest, Zeke's backstory is one of the most common and realistically portrayed ones, though his euthanization plan sucks and his actions can't be justified. They're understandable. IMO, Eren and Zeke are the two halves of human nature. Zeke called Grisha “父さん, tousan ” with his tears were overflowing in his eyes and it was his very first time to say “tousan” ( Dad ) , however the English translation was ❝ father ❞. Well...until Grisha told Zeke ❝ I love you, Zeke ❞ , he used to call Grisha “あの父親 , that father " or just "Grisha ”. It was very emotional heartbreaking scene. 父親 share DNA with the child, but he may or may not share responsibility in the child’s growth and development. 父さん,tousan is a term of affection and familiarity. Dad or papa is someone actively participates in the child’s growth and development. Roles of a father dictate that fathers act in a protective, supportive and responsible way towards their children. Fathers who are active in the children’s lives play a role in how the children grow up. They have an impact on the child’s behavior, psychology and their development. Though Grisha is a crucial character, he made a lot of mistakes throughout his life. The main difference between a father and a dad is that father is biological; however, a dad’s relationship is emotional. Fathering is an act of nature, while, being a dad is all about nurture. It is much easier to become a father, many even do it intentionally , the second son, Eren ; however, it is much harder to commit to becoming a dad. 父さん tousan is someone who actively participates in the child’s growth and development. Ksaver fulfilled the role of Zeke's mentor, personal as well as societal and cultural, that's why Zeke said " tousan ( Dad ) " about Ksaver san. The dad may or may not be the biological father. He may be the adoptive father or just a nurturing male figure in the child’s life, such as Ksaver.

I don't think its technically time traveling because they aren't literally going back to the past. They are just looking through the memories of grisha. The reason it seems like they could all interact with each other was just because of the attack titan's ability to see memory of future attack titan holders. The only reason grisha could see zeke at all points in this episode was because he was seeing memories of this eren looking through his past memories. In other words grisha hugged zeke because eren was putting him in his line of sight. If eren was looking anywhere else grisha wouldn't have been able to see where zeke was standing to "hug" him. And even then he's not even really hugging any body. If somebody were to see what was happening all they would see was grisha talking to himself and hugging air. If it's possible the founding titan can alter memories, then it could be possible that a future eren using that power to control how much grisha could actually see and that could be why grisha asked eren why he wouldn't show him everything. Because remember the attack titan does not have the power to manipulate memories, only the founding titan can do that. And all the attack titan can do is see memories of future shifters.

It's my strong belief that Eren can't see the future. We see two insert shots here from S3 when Eren was about to kiss Historia's hand and the other from right after he kissed her hand. I think those inserts mark the start and end point of what Eren saw in S3. He saw his dad slay the royal family, go outside and ask Eren if this is what he wanted to save Eldia, and hug the air speaking to Zeke. I believe this is all Eren ever knew of the future, but exactly the minimum of what he needed to know. He never saw the future when he kissed Historia's hand; he only saw his father reacting to seeing the future. It's my theory from rewatching the episode.

Zeke´s plan doesnt cost actual lives only potential ones (not that I d stupport it, I kinda wish Armin got an actual say in this madness), Eren´s plan literally costs probably millions to billions of lives for saving a small nation of really fucked up people..coz lets be real...the whole Yeagerist side is already nazi, and even the good ones have a lifetime of trauma and death which does effect your mental health. In reality, unless your are Eren Yeagar or a very entitled Eldian, you will hate Eren´s plan..yet as this story was carefully shown through also eyes of Eren Yeagar, you suddenly can understand the mentality of the worst tyrants of our history and how they gained followers.
