They've ran studies before that show the average person wouldn't step in unless personally approached by the perp. I can't understand that way of thinking, every altercation I've come across I try to de-escelate the situation instead of violence which has usually worked in my favor during road rages I happen upon but in this case there was obviously no talking to this guy. I don't think I would have had the same kind of control that wrestler did, seeing women and especially children in jeopardy just flips a switch for me and all I see is red. I don't mean to sound like an internet tough guy or anything but I would have "accidentally" slammed his head against the ground a few times for good measures if I were in that guy's position. It's the least he deserves before his sentencing.

@@NieuwBarendrecht This situational-crime was not human trafficking. Human trafficking is the organized sale *or* trade of humans. This was in itself a basic kidnapping of a child by a mentally unstable individual. Saying "What do you think he was going to do?" Does not have any bearing on what this situational-crime was, because all he did was attempt to kidnap. Now, if he succeeded in the kidnapping, and later sexually abused the victim, that *STILL* is not human trafficking. Human Trafficking as a definition involves the *TRADE* of humans, not *necessarily/particularly* the kidnapping of humans. *One does not need to be kidnapped to be a victim, or to be simply involved in human trafficking.* Human Trafficking can even be something as simple as illegal immigrants crossing a border via a border-mule. There are several variations of Human Trafficking and one could probably come up with hundreds of examples. Definitions and context absolutely matter. There is always the potential for a kidnapping to turn into a case of trafficking, but kidnapping *in itself* is not.

She deserves an award for bravery as well as the wrestler dude, even more so cause she is no wrestler.

I agree with "give that young man a medal", he deserves to be recognized for what he did, and the risk he took to help total strangers. Let alone the time he spent holding the guy, 3 minutes is a eternity in a situation like this. To young man's father, you must be VERY proud, to have a son willing to put others personal safety ahead of his own.

If that kid is a champion wrestler, 3 minutes didn't even break a sweat.

VERY proud barely does it justice. There are no words. 757....3 minutes is only what i choose to upload. There was another 3 minutes of Canaan just holding the guy down, so i shortened the video to keep your interest.

Someone in that town needs to set up a crowdfunding page for that lad. Get him some reward money together.

He's most likely a conservative and self sufficient. The perp on the other hand probably will need some democrat help for a good lawyer since he's been denied bail And they can't set up a go find me for that.

ADRIAN TOLEDO there are millions of people like that in the world, but probably less than 100 people who would actually save people lives like this. The family may have just been on a trip or something too, cmon man.

Springy sloth11 I agree there’s millions of people like this but also 5 different other people who tried to help the mom and kids the girl at door who was getting her shit rocked should be the hero if anything homeboy

I think the lady that held the guy at the door for a long time is a hero too. If you notice she takes a bunch of punches to the head, then calmly puts her glasses back on once the bad man is fighting the other older man.

As a highschool wrestler myself, I can tell you that the training is VERY useful and this video just goes to show how much the simple skills can be used

Dakota112 if the kidnapped is skilled then it probably gonna depend mainly on experience if you actually encountered a skilled kidnapper...

I can also tell you that I never trained for wrestling and I could smoke every single kid in my high school that were national wrestlers. Quite funny and sad really. The teachers were always begging me to wrestle but I was much too rebellious

beef nacos some are born with the gift of just knowing how to do it like yourself. I was in a similar situation with having previous skill in hand to hand combat and when the teachers and wrestling coach saw what I could do during a gym class they convinced me to join the team

That lady in the black who plants herself as a sheild deserves as much recognition as the young man who came through. She stood up to some serious beating. Thats the power of a good heart right there. So glad they were able to stop this from happening.
