So here is the thing. The pros usually (not always) have way more training time than Christina who basically has a full time job at Pinkbike. And yes, her job is bike related, but filming does not = fitness training. Stop and go, stop and go. We live in amazing part of the world for biking but it still sucks if you have work too 😂. Good job Christina, that is one of the best most raw racing videos I have seen in a long time.

Mad respect to you Christina and all the riders that do entire enduro series like the ews in a weekly to bi-weekly way. Did my first enduro that same weekend and transition stages are no joke. You may think you’re fit but racing enduros really shows you where you’re really at. Super fun but also very physically challenging and no shame on anyone dnf’ing.

Thanks Christina for always motivating a beginner rider like me to keep improving, but also to stay positive when things get hard and focus on having fun and just being a great person and great MTB ambassador! Also shoutout to Tom for being the best hype man and coffee runner lol 🤙

Wow, just wow😱! Big kudos for keeping it real and showing how tough it can get even for a top rider like yourself. Could definitely feel the pain and suffering you went through and to even get that far in those circumstances is an incredible achievement👏👏. I find myself in a similar situation now and this video is the wake up call I needed to get back on improving that fitness. Keep at it Christina, you're a strong woman, it'll only get better and you'll be flying soon💪. Loved the video, thanks for sharing and maybe keep us up to date with how your training goes. Hey Christina, dont feel too bad about not finishing, you were smashing it, but there comes a time when the body says stop and these are the times when you have to listen to your body. You walked away unscathed with out any injuries which is what you want to do, chances are if you pushed on while physically exhausted you could of had a major crash and be spending months in repair. As long as we learn from our mistakes and be better preped next time and have fun then that all that counts!

Great video. Vomiting definitely takes a lot out of you. You're an awesome rider, and I hope we get to see you race more. I'm no pro, but to avoid nausea, I eat early enough so I'm not digesting food while I'm pushing hard. I keep my blood sugar and electrolytes up with sports drinks, which can be absorbed quickly, vs. Food which takes a lot of energy to break down. Absolutely no coffee or caffeine. Idk how some people can tolerate caffeine as a workout supplement. A little bit of caffeine in the morning will mess up my endurance for the whole day. I know everyone has different things that work for them though.

For anyone wondering, a good rule of thumb for 2h+ activities is to eat some food every hour! Eg. Piece of fruit, or a bar. You must do this even if you don't feel like it, which you won't if you've been working hard. If you follow this guideline, you will be astounded by how much further you can go! It turns out every time you thought your muscles were tired after 2h, that was actually your body's energy gas tank running low, rather than your muscles being unable to pull anymore!
@Windband1
