FIRE TRUCKS STUCK IN HEAVY TRAFFIC! I honestly believed they moved 300 feet in maybe 5 minutes time. I have never ever seen anything like this and I hope that this isn't normal for the FDNY.
This video was shot on September 15, 2013 at the intersection of 8th and 42nd just west of Times Square. The 8th Street Festival was going on and no vehicle traffic was permitted from 42nd street to 57th street, this is a BIG reason why the traffic was so insane!
On camera we have Engine 34, Engine 1, Truck 21 and a third engine that you can see down 8th avenue but I never did find out what company it was.
at the 3:21 mark truck 21 must turn around as the parking lot had a low overhang at the end and the truck simply would not make it under. The crew of Engine 34 had a hard enough time making it thru but they did manage.
