Slowly some of the electrical systems components aren't so foreign but I've got a long way to go. Moving a bunch of machines around, ATV'S, Side by Sides and even a 6 wheeler. Scooping up little bits of knowledge here and there and constantly waiting for parts, and used parts that are too expensive or discontinued from the manufacturer. Found a great shop that does Aluminum Welding nearby so I'm in charge of drop offs and pick ups. Every day is an adventure, and I'm the right guy for that. Thanks Harvey the sun will shine again. Well now that schools out ( and it was a good lesson ) Mr. Harvey can I go out and rip around on my sled ? Lol. Seriously it’s very good info that your video has ! Electric has a lot of people spooked and afraid so when you simplify if people get more relaxed !

Hello Harvey, This is exactly what I needed! Could repeat the wiring you did for this push button for me? I’m sure you hate repeating yourself….but, I’m still learning and I want to get it right. I appreciate your time.

Just getting started on an 08 Big Bear 400. Been sitting in one spot for 9 years outside after just being shut off one day and never used again. Got parts on the way but in the mean time checked to see if it would at least turn over and yeah the starter solenoid is shot. Hope to get the parts this week and get er running! It's very exciting to bring old "junk" back to life.

can I just splice the cable from ignition to solenoid and just add the starter button directly?

So if I connect the positive end of the switch to the battery and the negative to the solenoid coil ground, and the starter solenoid to the starter and battery it should just crank over? Or do I need a cdi box? Bought this 4 wheeler with a messed up harness with most wires cut. I’m tryna figure out the absolute minimum I need to have it crank over with a push of a button. It’ll crank over when I bypass the solenoid with a flat head but I need something more ethical to start it.

Harvey...I did a build on this very Quad...It was a lot of fun and I was looking for another Kazuma Dingo 150 and I have not been able to find another one to build. Where did you find this one in the video and do you have any suggestions on where I might find one here in the United States.

My 150cc got kart 2 wires to the starter solenoid are hot. I’ve already replaced the solenoid 3 times so I don’t think that’s it. The 2 wires stay hot the whole time it’s running. It will start and run but I have to hit start it because when I turn the key it only clicks. So after a hot start I’m golden I just unplug the starter solenoid and I’m good and wires aren’t hot anymore.

Honestly I'd like to see you make an all in one fool proof universal harness not a portable CDI but similar. I'd like to see it have the CDI, coil, push button start a kill switch and all other hook ups. make an ac CDI version like basic old Honda's and a DC system with a universal regulator ect. I was looking at a 185s harness if you took away the lights and add the electric start it would be simple why does no one have a video showing the process for a universal harness so to speak. Normally I'd say the Chinese atv harnesses but there to small for a full size atv like a polaris sportsman Honda 300 ect. I bet you would have an entire following and you would see a huge amount of people unhacking there harnesses with your process. it's beyond a pain in the butt when your forced to spend 250+ for a used harness on eBay when with just a few more steps then your portable CDI people can make there bike like new again cheaply and reliability instead of the crazy factory units with 70 wires for a 10 wire sytem.
