The car is Audi A6 C6 3.0 TDI 165kw (BMK) 2006.
Doing 4 accelerations, 3 in drive, 1 in sport mode.
2024 UPDATE
Car has been now sold with the same "fault". Didn't really get worse in that ~60k km time for me. Also discussed it with some local transmission shops and they have tried TC replacements, new solenoids etc with similar cases and only thing that has worked is whole new valve body.
2021 UPDATE
Car is on 400k and still going strong.
I've changed transmission oil & valve body seals ~398k. That didn't help against the slipping. But definitely shifts a bit faster and from lower rpm-s. Also started to develop very occasional rough shifts, noting too bad. This is also gone after the oil change.
Something else I noticed is, if I let the torque converter lock at ~40km/h (let off throttle for a few second) and then floor it, no slippage at all.
2019 November UPDATE
Its been ~10k km now, the car is at 383k (im driving like 10-15k/year since this is not my main car).
Havent still done anything to the transmission, id say everything is pretty much the same, haven't got worse.
*Story*
Interesting thing is that if its in Drive, transmission seems to slip alot but in the Sport mode, i cant feel or see any slipping.
Also about the transmission, it shifts very well, no vibrations or rough shifts. Also i cant notice any rpm fluctuations at constant speed, but cars with torque converter problems seem to have rpm fluctuations.
Or is it still the torque converter, cant think of anthing else.
Any ideas what it could be?
There are no error codes from the transmission.
The transmission oil has been changed ~2 years or ~30k km ago, dynamic oil change so i dont that new oil change would help.
Dont mind the Check Engine light, intake manifold flaps wont close all the time and that throws the CEL, going to remove them soon anyways.
