My choice was to go with the 2019 A5 coupe. I just wanted lower cost and better mileage. The interior is essentially the same. It is sweet, but she's only got 23k miles on her. Still spiffy and new smelling. I get 35mpg on my 20mi commute, and my long term (4k miles) has been 31.4mpg.. I love this car, maybe the best car I've ever owned. I'm surprised you didn't get the ventilated seats. They are a boon in the summer, I can't imagine NOT having them in FL. Moving forward, I'm ready to get the honeycomb grill and to powder coat the the stock, five spoke wheels a gloss black. Same for painting the calipers red. I have not had a problem with chips in the paint (*knocks* on wood), and have not put on the ppf. I still have the original Pirelli P7's, but I'm going to go to the Michelin Crossclimate 2's, as I want the wet/winter performance. Thanks for the video. Great update, a beautiful S5!

Congrats!!! Any model has enough power to enjoy. I don't have the ventilated seats because I didn't get the leather because they get very hot here. Catch 22 situation. The average mileage I'm getting is 22 mpg, not too bad overall.

As well as the S5 logos and side wings. It would be different if I were in my 30s or 40s, but I'm 60 years old. It just seems to aggressive to me. Thoughts?

Has anybody noticed during freezing weather, when there is snow or frozen water the door windows don't open. The door has no frame and the door window has to drop a half an inch to prevent the glass from shattering when closing, but when shutting the door it is still frozen at the top and can almost break the door and window when closing the door.

Hey, beautiful car - I have ordered a similar looking Audi A5 Prestige that I will get in the summer and just wonder if you see any big difference in gloss or paint between the quarter panels and the doors ? I am going to get PPF immediately after delivery and also just in the front, but I'm concerned it will differ somewhat (I will have my car in Mythos Black paint). Looking at your video I can't see any difference - it looks promising but I assume It also depends on the type and quality of the PPF.

@Pietro931

I switched after BMWs for over 20 years. The new BMW styling is horrid. The styling, balanced drive, and the quattro AWD is above BMW. Where BMW is better is more hp in an equivalent trim level and the sports car drive, and throttle repsone. BMW is more of a kick in the pants, Audi is more about balance. I won't be going back to BMW anytime soon.

@Pietro931

The tech is different and takes a couple of weeks to get used to. It's very intuitive after that. The quattro AWD is legendary and works awesome. I always had RWD in the BMWs so the change to AWD was noticeable until it became a normal drive. Very balanced, m better quality imo, and the styling is hands down better.

@Pietro931
Жыл бұрын
I have had no mechanical or electrical issues in the first 2 years of ownership. The two things I wish I had done earlier 1) paint protection of the front end (hood, quarter panels, and side mirrors) and 2) if you get the black optic pkg, change the tires to Michelin Pilot Sports. They have a larger sidewall that helps protect the wheels that are easy to damage. 4 things to definitely get 1) carbon fiber interior, 2) upgrade to the B&O sound system, 3) Black Optic pkg, and 4) Sport package. All in all, the style, utility, and performance for a daily, the S5 foots the bill nicely. And you have AWD to boot. If you want a video that highlights certain things, let me know.

@Syed Alam The Type S is overpriced, underpowered, and too big. The black interior with blue stitching would look nice. Once the manufacturer warranty ends, I will add a warranty up to 100k miles. It's when you do have an issue, and every car will eventually, these are pricey to fix. The warranty will pay itself off and protect you from getting a big bill when you weren't expecting it. Except for wearable parts that is.
