Yes, I just saw that too. After seeing this commercial here's a trend I'll follow: "BUY AMERICAN!" Great trend isn't it? And it's gluten free! :-)

You'd think before any entity publicly criticises a diet, condition, or life style choice, they'd do their research first. Wrong publicity could be fatal to some people aflicted by such allergies, sensitivity to certain foods. Does Audie think cutting peanuts or shelfish out of ones diet a trend. lets all be mindful and respectful of those people that must eliminate certain foods for their health.

If tons of people who were not allergic to peanuts suddenly went peanut-free, then yes, that would be a trend. Only people with celiac disease need to be gluten free. The rest are morons. No, it's not going to be fatal to anyone. People with food allergies know perfectly well to stay away from the foods to which they are allergic, and aren't about to have their minds changed by a fucking car commercial. And "do your research" is code for "I don't know what I'm talking about."

+Craig Poe Godwin " Only people with celiac disease need to be gluten free. The rest are morons." It's certainly not about changing one's mind. It's about people not believing that people have celiac. They don't believe THAT MANY people have celiac. They do. 1 in 133. So when a car commercial pops up and says "haha a trend" it does effect us, because it makes us sick. Hence, your comment. You don't believe that many people have it and are morons. I'd like to laugh at it, and I do, but it comes with the apprehension that people think it's a silly affectation. I have read about people who 'test' celiacs by telling them something is gluten free when it isn't. Unbelievably ignorant, condescending and mean. It's akin to feeding you brownies made with ex lax, or purposely infecting you with salmonella. Most just get sick but for some it is deadly. They do die. Gluten is a progressive poison to celiacs, you never know when or if you will get to that point. As for not eating gluten as a trend vegetarians and vegans are accepted, why not people who just don't want to eat gluten for their health? Or carbs? or Peanuts? Perceived or true what's the big deal?
