Dents in the microphone means somebody fumbled the bag 🤣

The song would be a hit if only the microphone wasn't dented 😂

No, the debt makes it sound more vintage. If it’s not dented it’s “too perfect”. lol.

Got a budget KZitemr friend who’s just starting out. Found them a beat to hell snowball for super cheap. People replacing dented mics lets the poor people get themselves a decent mic without spending 100+

As a clean freak, I like to replace the grills after every 10 uses or so, or once every few months. Yes it costs more, but once you sniff a grill that smells like the inside of a dogs mouth after they eat a cow brain sandwich, you'll probably adopt my methods. It doesn't hurt anything to keep things clean.

I try not to record singers with severe over bite. But I leave them in.

I prefer no dents, in an environment working with live instruments things happen. As far as vocals mics, it may distract the client eye soar 😅.

I’m anal-retentive with creative tools and work spaces and it makes me feel like I can’t record until I pop the screen off and press it back. I’m not OCD though, so I can let it go. I am ADHD though so it’s a good excuse not to do anything but fix the screen. 😱If it’s not too much trouble to pop it off you should and then you can clean it too.

No. Hate it. Can't stand it. But i personally prefer to take good care of my investments, whether its mics or guitars, drums etc. one dent in one if my expensive mic grills and id do research on how to either fix it, replace or worst case i may even consider replacing the mic if its bad.

I pop em out. I had a tlm 103 that had a dent in the grill just from pressing with my fingers. Took me 10 minutes to pop it out

I prefer my gear to be as new as possible. Has anyone done the research to check if it makes a sonic difference with a dent? Next up in mic world - "Custom Shop Mic Relic treatment" for an added charge.
