MovieKid Techlife Breath Controller is from TEControl (www.tecontrol.se). It’s USB, so you can connect it to the computer and play SWAM from both a MIDI keyboard and the breath controller

What are the settings being used to get this sax sound. Mine doesn’t sound like this. How do you get the breathy Ben Webster like Ben Webster and how is it controlled….? I have Version 2 but I am considering upgrading to the All In bundle but I don’t want to be disappointed if the voices don’t sound like the demos. I am not a tweaker. I just want to load it and play. I am using an EWI 5000. Thanks

@@romaric9874 I get it. I play the saxophone, but I also have a Roland Aerophone. I like the synthsounds, but I don't feel the need for those emulated sounds. I can imagine them being useful in a studio environment though, if you don't want to hire someone who can play the real thing.

@@romaric9874 Yes. It's a midi wind cotroller so you can trigger any vst-instrument. It has some usefull sounds onboard, depending on what you're into.

Spectacular. I've heard other demos, but these are astounding. Like the real instruments, it takes virtuosity to bring these to beautiful life. As it should. So I am so glad to hear these particular demonstrations, by the two players here (and on Dr. Mix's own clip). They are a class above the rest, and show just how great these Audio Modelling instruments can sound. Bravissimo!

This is something that we must acknowledge - this instruments not only are behaving like real instruments but also they doesn't take so much space and computer resources. There are Audio Modeling instruments in Noise App from Roli that sounds FANTASTIC!!!

Only thing I'd say is the portamento sounds a tad linear like a synth, especially on the cello. A bit of nonlinear randomness should fix that. Otherwise, amazing!

I set my joystick to cc5. When I push forward, the portamento amount increases. It works brilliantly, real-time control, sliding from note to note + pitch bend, under my control. Which is why I love Roland/Korg joysticks.

This is a GREAT demonstration and tutorial.. I first bought the SWAM strings, but got overwhelmed by the controls between the RISE keyboard and the SWARM interface.. You guys have really put a LOT of thought into this virtual instrument. This is the future of orchestral and other instruments. In my years of playing, I realize the subtlety, and articulations of tradition instruments, are what really set them apart from electronic sounds. Your guest here should do a song with the group '2 Cello's". That would be very interesting.

The legato speed control responding to keyboard touch is excellent and musical. I will try this on the new Osmose Expressive E keyboard controller once it ships Summer of 2020. Excellent modeling work here Audio Modeling. Positive sign for the bright future of physical instrument modeling.,

This is a-maz-ing! I have never heard a more accurate representation of the violin and cello, and all parameters are controllable and dependent on the skill of the musician (which these two guys have a good grasp on). 😉😁👍 *EDIT:* The Sax - *TEQUILAA!!* That was hilarious!🤣 My God that thing sounds good, especially with the breath control. The little bit at the end where he did the clarinet run for Rhapsody in Blue was FANTASTIC!! I can see where audio modelling far surpasses sampling for a more original sound. Well done you guys!😍

I thought you would need one of those squishy Roli boards to get this kind of expression, but how it responds to pressure is a really clever way of doing it with traditional keys. That's awesome! Great demo, not something I'm in the market for, but great to see good emulations being available for those that can't afford all those instruments.

We are ROLI partner, they have made several demos using Seaboard coupled with our products. This video shows that it's possible to obtain a great expressivity even with a traditional keyboard and a couple of expressive controllers, e.g. expression pedal and modulation wheel, or just with a breath controller.
