This is what remains of my old audio recordings of my experiments. This is not a demo of good or proper guitar playing.
The set of pickups in this video is not the same set of pickups used in my other videos. The configuration of the pole pieces is also not the same. The pole pieces here are made from 1008 carbon steel round bar and the magnets are placed at approximately 2/3 in the middle of the pole pieces.
This is not a definitive representation of the result of replacing the ceramic bar magnet with neodymium disc magnets. There are many variables in doing the modification, which will affect the result, such as:
1. The size and strength of the disc magnets
2. The number of disc magnets
3. The position of the disc magnets
4. The diameter and length of the pole pieces
5. The permeability of the pole pieces
6. The addition of magnet shield
