I Thank God that we still sing songs like this at my church. These are the types of songs I was raised up on. My pastor were their radio announcer until God called him to pastor his own church

Amen to the comment made concerning getting back to Church and not choirs performing. When I was Minister of Music of my Church, I always told my Choir that I would never direct them to raise their hands, or clap them or have them move their bodies. If the Holy Spirit did not direct them to do it, I most certainly was not. Singing is not about a performance. It is about ushering the Congregation into the presence of the Most Holy. And to have a Choir Director walking around the podium as if..

Very anointed music and singing! Our churches need to get back to traditional Gospel in the choir and pulpit as well! Acts 2:38 ;-)

I have this 1978 LP. That is legendary jazz artist Earl "Fatha" Hines on piano. He is pictured and the bottom right He was a long time friend of Rev. Cobbs.

You had to be at one of the services in the '70's and hear them sing this at the end of service. They could wear out the place with it. On this album, this is just a warm up for them.

he had nothing better to do for me is outrageous. It is not about the person in front of the choir. Again, it is about letting people be prepared to meet their God.
