This looks like a comercial for this speakers, far away from a sincere review, that includes critics also, good points, bad points. Useless.

I just received my Audioengine A5+ today, I was pleasantly surprised by the audio quality, I also have Sonos wireless speakers Play 1, Play 3, Sub, Playbar which I paid a hefty sum $$$ ; i have to say... if I knew about the A5+ speakers I would have never purchased the Sonos...but again I think for my purposes the Audioengine A5+ is perfect, solid design and great sound for the price!

Hello guys i just got the a5+ changing from Edifier Luna Eclipse. I don't listen to any dramatic sound difference. What could it possibly be?

Don't these already have a DAC inside the speakers? Why would I have to add another DAC?

How is the base on these speakers, are they good enough or do you suggest a subwoofer?
@AudioAdvice
7 жыл бұрын
We are actually really impressed with the bass the A5+ provides, especially for the cabinet size. How are you using them? If they're sitting on a desktop, you should be good. If you're going to use them more as bookshelf speakers and listen to bass-heavy music, you could always pair them w/ the Audioengine S8B Sub.

If you want a proper headphone out, you'll want to pair these with the Audio Engine D1 DAC.

hey great video i have a question how loud do you have to drive the speakers to burn in ? also is it safe to leave it on for full 24 hrs?
@AudioAdvice

Sean, thanks for watching and for the question! Happy to help. You don't need to have the volume loud in order to burn these guys in. Moderate volume is fine and you shouldn't have any problem running them for 24 hours straight.

Can I mix/produce music with these speakers? I know they're not technically advertised as studio monitors, but I've read that they have a flat response and can be used as such, and are comparable with monitors such as the KRK rokit 5/6's and Yamaha HS 5/7's? Thank you

+Yuddy we're not in that business but we've heard of folks using them that way. They're powered and hook up the same as any pair of basic monitors like that would.

amp power and speaker sesitivity ? max watt in rms ? seems expensive with only 12 months warranty.
@AudioAdvice

These have the amp built-in, which for each speaker is rated at 50 watts continuous, 75 peak. Powered speakers usually do not give a sensitivity spec. Thanks for watching.

@@AudioAdvice Well they are only concerned with home theatre I guess, but it should be obvious that many computer users with those $29 Logitech abominations will want something like this, and they'll want a headphone jack. (And bass and treble controls.) I bought the Presonus 5" set. I have to say they have some serious drawbacks as well, but still a big step up from the Logitech level.
