" I want to have a little more time".... that brought tear to my eyes. I wish Audrey had more time with us :-(

If everyone didn't smoke back then, she would have had that. I hate cancer.

@@sup9542 yes. it didn’t help that she was introduced to cigarettes at such an young age, through no fault of her own, as British soldiers gave her bars of chocolate and packs of cigarettes when they found her.

More than anything I’d want to have some time with Audrey. But I couldn’t bring her back to how the world is today, especially since I know she’s happy where she’s at now. 💗

@@angelavenable7308 true. I finally fulfilled my dream of visiting her graveyard in Tolochenaz. A very small town in Switzerland last November. Her tomb is very simple and humble. The cemetery is very small. Her house is big (older). The town has her bust/head and a bus stop named after her. Very quiet town. Felt happy and kinda sad too. I hope you can go, if you haven’t already

Had the good fortune to encounter Audrey while she was filming scenes from this movie ("Love Among Thieves," her only made-for-TV movie) in San Francisco. My friend and I were sitting chatting on a grassy embankment outside City Hall when suddenly she emerged from her trailer nearby in a terrycloth robe, the top of her head wrapped in a towel like a turban. Absolutely startled, we spontaneously stood up and began applauding as she walked by. She turned to us, smiled demurely and said "you're so kiiind!" One of the serendipitous moments of my life!

@American Freedom World Peace she is far more feminine than say Catherine Hepburn or Scarlett black widow. Or tons of semi-masculine women today.

Lovely interview. It breaks my heart when she says at the end "I will like to be ten years younger" and "live a little more time".. when we know that she die 6 years later. Knowing that her illness took her very young. Thank you for sharing this!!

Recently discovering audreys work and about her life more. I've known of her for quite a few years, but mostly just by name and liked a couple of her quotes. I'm glad I recently saw breakfast at tiffanys and the children's hour, I absolutely love them! (understatement :) ) Roman holiday was also lighthearted and good. But those first 2 films are dazzling. I'm passionate about social change/social issues, so TCH is probably the leading for me. Loved her compassion on screen, but even more so because I now know she was very compassionate and caring as herself too. She gave a lot before she died, and obviously not meaning physical things; it warms my heart more than I can express in this comment. She is stunning too, breathtaking to me 😅 I wish I could have met her, but she died apparently when I was just a few months from 3 years old

Even at award shows, you see that she is not affected by compliments but smiles deeply when she sees her costars and honor them, unselfishly. For sure, tears in my heart. If she had the ten years that she asked for, unlike us, she would go right back to poorest of Africa and hold the hands of these poor that we only look away in disgust! We need her as a leader for humanity. Was she ever considered for Nobel Prize for Peace? Seriously?

It's crazy how much something one person can say to you, and it just sticks with you all your life. I hardly wear shorts, because my leg hair grew just a tiny bit earlier than the other kids, and I was made fun of for it. It's such a frivolous thing, and it doesn't matter, like her feet. I just love how she seems to understand that. She's so amazing.
