Audrey Marnay is the face of Longchamp's Spring 2011 advertising campaign. Chosen for her unique mix of French chic and cosmopolitan appeal, the flame-haired model-turned-actress is captured by the lens of the legendary photographer Patrick Demarchelier in a series of stunning images that evoke the Indian inspiration of the season's leather goods, ready-to-wear and accessories.
Patrick Demarchelier's luminous visuals picture Audrey Marnay against a studio backdrop of a surreally blue sea and clear sky, in sharp contrast to the raw, natural elements of the décor. In one image, Audrey stands, like a modern-day explorer, at the prow of an authentic pirogue, holding the season's star bag, the Impérial, whose soft, supple leather and intricate detailing are a testament to Longchamp's tradition of savoir-faire. In another, she sits on a wooden jetty dangling the Gatsby handbag and with the petal-print Darshan tote beside her. All the visuals feature key pieces from Longchamp's Spring 2011 ready-to-wear and accessories collection -- a lightweight parka, a butter-soft lambskin blouson, tie-dyed knitwear, leather cuffs and platform wedges trimmed with ruffles.
