Very cool! So I purchased the Duracell rechargeable batteries and they are awesome. Can you please recommend a brand of cr123A rechargeable batteries for my flashlight on my rifle? The 18650 is too large. The streamlight flashlight holds 2 cr123's.

Glad you enjoyed it! We don't get to see this sort of stuff often, so it was cool to capture. That's great news on the Duracells! They are good batteries, I use the AA and AAA's. The RCR123A is the rechargeable lithium ion, the CR123A is the non-rechargeable, which has a lower nominal operating voltage, 3V instead of 3.7V, they last longer, but will provide less output, like half the lumen output for a flashlight(if it's limited by voltage). You'll want to make sure your light can accept 3.7V cells instead of 3.0V cells. If you need to use RCR123A rechargeable cells at 3.0V, you can use LiFePO4 cells, like these: tidd.ly/2ae7ffe They charge to a lower voltage, so if you don't have a charger, you'll want to get the LiFePO4, if your flashlight can't use 3.7V, you might burn it out if you do throw in some 3.7V cells. (Here's the 3.0V RCR123A with the charger: tidd.ly/41d11823 It's probably best to use RCR123A mainly in your flashlight, and only CR123A as spare. If you want a recommendation on CR123A, any name brand would do, SoShine is the brand I trust in batteries and chargers (Here's some SoShine CR123As, tidd.ly/472a79aa ), but you can go Energizer, Duracell, etc. I see Streamlight even has a package on amazon.com, 12 cells for $20! (amzn.to/2viuWnT) The RCR123A that I've found to be the best performing is the On the Road M3's RCR123A(Also known as the 16340), but the problem is, I can't find it for sale anywhere, and it doesn't make much sense to purchase the On the Road M3 just to get the battery. I haven't figured out who the OEM for is, so can't buy them directly. The next best in my opinion, would be the Nitecore RCR123A, here's a link to fasttech: goo.gl/j9jEm1 I've tried the Olight RCR123A, and it arrived broken. It might have just been a defective item, but I haven't ordered another one. Just bad luck I guess. You want reliability, so the Nitecore NL166 is the best bet. It's not the highest amperage, or capacity, but it certainly has performed well for me, and has a protection circuit as well, that works well in my experience. It can push 3A no problem. If your light needs it. Check out my graph here, kzitem.info/news/bejne/smxnyoato6Cio20m34s, you'll see that the Nitecore isn't the best, but it does a satisfactory job. The On the Road M3's battery is unprotected, and newer, so it's expected that it provides higher output. The Nitecore is about 2-3 years old, and I've used it heavily, so it's still pretty amazing considering what it's been through. If I were to replace my RCR123As, I'd buy the Nitecore NL166s. Unfortunately, fasttech doesn't ship it out to Canada, but I'm sure you can find a good price for those somewhere online, or maybe in store. Hope that helps! Cheers, David.

You're welcome! Anytime. Glad you enjoy it! That's what life is all about, just having fun and doing our best! I hope to share some more with everyone. I'm doing a review on Gearbest's UT01 right now, and I have successfully shaved the dome shape to be cone-domed, and tested the intensity profile, it definitely focuses more light into the beam, and makes it a hotter hot spot, anywhere between 24%-41% hotter hot spot just from doing that one MOD alone! This can be significant, if I can double the output(lumens total), and again increase by 40%, candela can be increased by 280% theoretically! Helping increase throw distance. Stay tuned, I think we're going to have some great discoveries and developments! Cheers! David.
