I've got a really bad Oontz Ultra 3 that just stopped charging for no good reason. I tried to take it apart, but pried and failed and almost wrecked it to pieces. I give up. for $39 I am ordering a new one but I do appreciate what you do and I wish I could learn how to do all that - prolly save a few $$. Tho I've tried hundreds of times to just do a simple solder on a circuit board, it never, ever works for me. I'm about 50 years to late learning it all now tho... Oh well, it is fun to watch you work that magic and I do love your channel. Oh and your voice is GREAT probably 90% of what keeps me on the video! Cheers!

Wicking out of holes, I find, is helped by having a dome of solder, lots of flux, and relatively unused wick so it has a large 'suck' capacity. If you remove enough solder such that it forms a little cup inside the hole, it is very hard to wick that out. Basically, you are relying on surface tension to pull the solder out of the hole into the wick.

I like your work, here is the tip for easier workflow just use more paste and even on holes you want to clean also do not use a lot of heat like 450° use like 350-380 high temp will burn flux faster and then it's harder to wick off all solder but we all need practice it's just advice im doing same and also i was struggling with cleaning till i found right temp and apply always more flux, also those pins you can solder easier if you put more and just pass all with solder blob no metter if you make bridge it's easy to remove when flux is there. So many times i wrote flux so it is your friend in most scenarios have a nice day mate ! :)

There they were bought wholesale by the television assembly factory where I worked. It uses genuine amtech 559 flux (NorthridgeFix is its authorized distributor) unfortunately for me the laws of our countries require very demanding special customs permits for the import of chemical products although we have a free trade agreement for North America (Canada, USA & Mexico). @Adamant_IT

This is probably do-able, but would require some extra modification, especially if you want it to be Power Delivery compliant. I've been looking at doing this with some other stuff, and so far it seems to be more hassle than it's worth. At the shop I have a multi-output charge station (Pine64 Pine Power Desktop) and at home I have a Y-splitter cable with a type-c and micro-b plug on it, so I don't have to keep swapping cables around. Eventually everything will have Type-C on it.

For wicking through holes I find 99% of people struggle because their using the wrong kind of wick or not using enough flux. You need a more tightly woven wick like tech spray. I use to struggle a lot with this as I was using goot wick. As soon as I switched to a more coarse wick, namely tech spray it went much much smoother. I'm not a fan of desoldering guns. FAR too expensive, and frankly freaking useless! Nozzles are such poor quality so they do not seal properly. Pumps weaker than a 10 year old Asertek sue happy AIO. And nozzles so poorly designed your lucky to get two joints cleared before it clogs up and you have to disassemble the whole tool to clean it! Desoldering guns are the peak of snake oil!
