Hope you guys enjoy a less edited more just down to earth tutorial video, let me know what other mechanics or concepts ingame you would like me to cover :)

This is your best series. Great idea to make a bunch of tutorials to bring in more people.

TL,DR: Your words confused me, but: Multiply GSP by 8 to get the Logistics for a 30-day supply. When talking about supply, I spoke some mixed up numbers, but your actual numbers checked out after I read the wiki: - Each GC round is 8 hours, so 3 in a day, and 90 GC rounds in a simple month - GSP requirement is for 10 rounds of combat, so we need to plan for 9, not 10 as I believe you said - Each unit comes with 10 round of supply, 1xGSP, so we only need to cover 8 of those 9 with Logistics - Due to tonnage and imperfect numbers, you carry 78k vs. the 77,4k (8*9675) needed, giving you the target 30 days. Regardless, your videos are super helpful and I learn a ton of stuff!

I used the word 10x because its easy for me that actually comes out to 33 days, (not good at math) either way generally my recommendation is for each regiment you have 30 days of supply and then you provide more as needed etc

For a video covering the fundamentals, perhaps covering the general behaviour of the combat phases and why the different types of bombardment weapons exist could have been a nice addition, but beside that really good coverage on the basics of ground forces

Thanks, I will be as i said in the video doing more on ground forces and definitely one featuring ground combat, the purpose of these videos is just raw uncut content of me explaining mechanics am not gonna get everything but I still hope its helpful

Nicely done, looking forward to the coming ground forces vids as I still have no idea about actually fighting with them or what stuff like supporting actually does. I do have a much better understanding of the stuff I had kind of been winging so far though so cheers.

thanks, more videos will be on the way and as I said I havent covered everything in this video just some of the very basics for what you want to be thinking about when designing your units and the hierarchies they may go into.

thank you, this is great, i now better understand GF mechanics …. a lot of "myths" were dispelled with this video.... i used to never use Hierarchies as i never understood how to build them the same goes for Logistics, i can probably now reactivate Rakkas on my next playthrough :)

nice, more videos as well coming on ground force stuff, this is exactly why I make them :) GF have a lot of moving parts but its not that complicated when you break it down

Nice man, really really nice. In the german videos there is no explicit tutorial so we have to watch the hole thing and filter the infos pick for pick ^^ edit: looks like a HoI3 structure

Good Overview! Is the for version 2.x? Has genetic engineering been removed? Might want to say how racial armor and weapon strength is determined. It took me forever to figure out I could chan ge the HQ raiting!

This is for version 2.0, racial weapon and armor strength is based on ship armour and ship weapons, however only certain weapons effect this I will go over this in a later video :) hope you enjoyed

I've noticed I'm able to assign commanders to formations with no HQ, is that working as intended? Is the commander providing any bonus?

maybe i'm way too much of a noob, but I have no idea how to build the units, my order of battle page is completely empty and I don't know where to start, I have a few unit types researched but I haven't the faintest idea how to actually make them or control them, I like your tutorial and I would appreciate more, but could you perhaps make a more vertical slice tutorial, making units from scratch, building the ships to carry them and carrying out the attack on an enemy planet, maybe even showing the construction and deployment of sto's as well? edit: could you perhaps recommend a playthrough you have done using some of these ground combat techniques and ideas, so I can better understand how this information is applied?
