I love the sad themes in her songs. Not that I love being sad. She just makes it feel its OK to be sad, that you can feel happiness even in the darkest times. Honestly she saved me. I had been going through honestly the worst time of my life. And her voice, the words she spoke the comfort she had with her emotions...it just, made me feel at peace

+Harald Henriksen Dude, I'm also a black metal fan and I love Aurora. I guess the resemblance is the fact that she is so pure, and her music is so sincere, without fake special effects and computer modified sounds. Even tho she has nothing to do with black metal, somehow I feel that "Pure and honest" vibe from her and her art. And also, she is from Norway, so... :))))

Same with myself as well! My other friend who heavily into black metal showed me her not to long ago and ever since I listen to her everyday. Must be the spirit or the north I don't know haha. A lot of her music is powerful, dark, and sincere as well thats a possibility. You can tell she has folk influences from her home. Also just found out she likes Wardruna a lot which awesome.

Early Jan 2015 I joined my partner and her collegues and went to this traditonal "bt-concert". I don't remember any of the artists except one. I will never forget that moment when she walked in and sang that masterpiece of a song - with her sad voice and characteristic hand movements. 3 years later I'm still sitting in that concert hall, applauding!

I find it interesting that people are surprised that she's a full person. They think that because she wears stripey socks one day, she's too innocent to wear something as revealing as this. She's 20. She can do what she wants and doesn't have to be a character
@hellfeather2011

Thank goodness. I'm tired of all the comments about how she's so innocent and angelic. Okay yeah she's pretty and blonde and has a sweet pretty voice but she's also a grown woman who can't possibly be as innocent as everyone wants her to be.
@frogsoda
4 жыл бұрын
If people think that what she's wearing here is revealing then I'd say she's doing okay. Most female performers today wouldn't be caught dead in the clothes Aurora wears. She's she has her own unique Style. Okay she may have borrowed a little from Ally Sheedy in The Breakfast Club, but that's okay too. ( actually, one of her sisters dresses her and the other one does her makeup.)

With a tiny rope and a bag of stones And all her broken wishing bones She's going in, she's going home Oh this little golden eye, fighting every day Behind the light, behind the light Walking faster down the street, red eyes And no shoes on her feet Going on this journey, determined to complete This is farewell, this is good night The last time she will see the daylight See the daylight And she's going on a journey Always walking down the road And the water is always calling My little child, please come home That's when she went away Away from the light of day Standing by the riverside Patientelly waiting for the tide To come along, to come along The water going through her feet And on her body wind so cold and sweet So cold and sweet And she's going on a journey Always walking down the road And the water is always calling My little child, please come home And the stars were brightly shining When she reached out they were gone And the water started calling My little child, please come home Feel the water in her body, water's never going out Feel the water in her body, water's never going out Feel the water in her body, water's never going out Feel the water in her body, water's never going out Feel the water in her body, water's never going out Feel the water in her body, water's never going out Feel the water in her body, water's never going out Feel the water in her body, water's never going out And she's going on a journey Always walking down the road And the water is always calling My little child, please come home And the stars were brightly shining When she reached out they were gone And the water started calling My little child, please come home When a shiny light hit her eye And she turned around And climbed towards the sky Towards the sky

There are a few things that she does here that totally floor me. Most of her live performances are backed by heavy electronics and beats, allowing her to move and dance with the music as she sees emotionally fit. Regardless of that, she imbues physical emotiveness with even subdued performances such as this. In spite of that, her vocal control is off the charts. When I play guitar live, I also like to infuse more emotion into my playing than I would if I was trying to record precise takes in a studio setting. In a live context, the energy is great, but I don't think I could play with exacting proficiency. She manages to do this. And it's glorious! Also, when the song concludes, she suspends a body language of anticipation. By holding herself this way, she keeps the audience from applauding too abruptly. This allows the song to sink in and have space rather than have its delicate conclusion be whiplashed by applause. I'm not sure if it's intentional, but it's a brilliant move!
