@@jhart7304 when I first got my used dirt bike the throttle cable was routed Wrong by the other owner and unbenounced to me when I turned left at accelerated a bit and on a corner in 3rd gear while I was on the break it start accelerating on me and I ended up laying the bike down and breaking my fall with my left shoulder I thought I was fine I drove the bike home and everything was good Next morning I couldn't lift my arm past my chest I'm sleeping now but it took me awhile to heal You're right even though he walked away like that he was probably out of commission for a few weeks at minimum

mmm angular momentum + spring loaded objects + rigid bodies... saw another one that did the same thing but he got hung up ON the top of the fence... all that rotational torque loaded up and basically the whole body flexed when the nose came around and dug in and just vaulted him. lotta physics went into that launch!

Welcome to sprint car racing, the cages are meant to take that and harder flips. Big flip happen all the time. Going over a fence and out of the ball park, not always, but sometimes.

I saw this happen at Grandview speedway. The modified cleared the first turn catch fence by twenty feet or more. No joke. It landed against the outside fence where concessions are today. The catch fence may have been raised there, but I know it is still not nearly high enough to prevent this from happening again with resulting loss of life. But then who’s listening?
