Finally an elaborate recipe. I like that you don't skip the searing of the meat, etc. The majority of the recipes on the net are quick-fixes but that wasn't what I was looking for. The taste of seared meat is better than cooked meat, as well the taste of sauteed vegetables are incomparably better than cooked veggies - by most people and so l am impressed with your method, thanks for sharing it.

Thanks for this great presentation-lesson. I have never made borsch before, but I am off to the store for the ingredients after watching this. I don`t know why, but I thought it was a really long and hard recipe. It`s cool out today, a typical autumn day, and I want some hot, tasty soup. Nothing is better than homemade. And I`ll pick up a loaf of bread from a good bakery in my neighborhood here in Lviv.

I think love your Ukranian kitchen already! I have never had a chance to know about ukranian food preparations before.. its amazing to see how you cook. loved the carrort potato and onion broth.. and the the bay leaf :) we use it all the time in indian cooking ! I think I will put chicken instead of beef as I don't eat much beef, I hope it should be ok (though it wont be the same I know ) .. thanks a lot .. I am glad to be your subscriber ! :) love from Belgium!

Those are big cloves of garlic, you had to use all your strength to crush it 😜. First off, this video is so relaxing to watch, the music and the ASMR are perfect. The sound from the beet/carrot grating is very soothing. The sizzling of the pork in the dutch oven = amazing! The potatoes and cabbage are very uniformed in size. This is probably the best looking recipe for Borscht stew I've seen on YT so far. I appreciate how clean and aesthetically pleasing your cooking is. Presentation is fantastic with all those parsley (not the parsley bouquet from the soup 😝), gives a nice contrast to the red. Great video, I love it! 👍LIKE #19

Tasty! I make it a bit different, I add lots of dill, some vinegar and lemon juice, and kidney beans and black beans for some oomf, my babas didn't use the beans though. Everyone has such neat ways of doing it, I've never used parsley, but everything else is pretty much the same.

This is an especially good recipe. What I do is that I would make borsht a few days after my father makes corned beef. Once all the meat and vegetables are eaten, I would use the leftover cabbage broth in place of cold water when boiling the pork and it comes out decent. There was also a moment when my usual Kroger's only had golden beets instead of the red. So I substituted and the gold beets turned the broth orange when mixed with the tomato paste, but it had a pleasant earthy taste to it. I kind of want to make it again, honestly.
