Hi thanks for sharing. I'm a mom of an autistic child as well. Helpful Tip: What helps my child a lot is watching funny videos/shows like ( America Funny Videos, funny animations etc.) The show's ( age or maturity appropriate) helped with his cognitive skills and comprehension. God bless you and your family. Ps. Question: Does it frustrate you when people expect your child to speak back when they say hello? They would say "awe come on you can speak or is He/She shy" ? And as a parent you find yourself or at least ( I do) struggling with what to say back to them. Should I explain my child is autistic ( as if they know what that is ) or just smile back? Ps. I have no problem explaining to children but it's some adults I struggle with.

Do you guys have to track a lot of data? We are new to aba and we will be homeschooling. I have been a little overwhelmed, but I appreciate channels like this. We are learning antecedents right now and tracking it. Thanks for sharing!

Only when there are certain behaviors that your trying to understand the cause to. Potty training required a lot of data, meltdowns or tantrums also require data like what was happening before hand and how you responded to behaviors. For us at this moment we don’t really take data at home 😊

I have an 11 year old son with autism who is non verbal. I also have a 4 year old daughter with autism who is non-verbal but making progress. My daughter is now trying to make letter sounds after she was introduced to Compleat Pediatric Organic Blends. It's a blend of whole foods and vitamins and minerals. Basically a GFCF diet. I saw her change within one week. My son is a bit trickier and still eats sugary foods which makes his stimming worse. It feeds his gut bacteria which can harm the brain. Also, if you can, try looking into a Big Nabi Tab 20" or 24" on ebay. They both communicate with me through the tablet... or just any android tablet that's large enough. I installed JABtalk which helps non-verbal children with autism communicate. You put anything you want on the app (pic with your voice), whether it be food, playground, happy, sad, sleepy, etc. They click what they want to help communicate with you. It's very simple. God bless you and your family.

I also struggle with being home and school work versus housework. I have 5 virtual learning at home full time and one on the spectrum. Christian's little sounds are so cute!

that visual timer is awesome. I've been looking at a bunch of different clocks and things to get a better schedule in my sons life but i think this timer would be best. going to check it out.
