Host of our Autism Safety Series, Nicole is the Head of Fundraising and Partnerships at Autism Awareness Australia and was the Project Manager for our online resource 'Autism: What Next?' She is a fierce autism advocate who is regularly involved in events and media engagements promoting #autismawareness and #inclusion. Nicole is a parent to two sons, one of whom is on the autism spectrum, and is a passionate advocate for families and individuals with autism.

Kathrine is both the proud mother to three autistic boys and a fixture in the disability landscape. For over a decade she has advocated and worked for real change to support disabled Australians. As Australia’s first Autism & Law Enforcement trainer, she has been training police officers across the country, free of charge, since 2018. This work has been recognised and awarded both locally and internationally. Kathrine recently launched her new technology company called the GVDP (Global Voluntary Disclosure Project), an online database that provides first responders, real-time, in the field access to crucial information to support vulnerable people.

Briana is a journalist, public speaker and mum of two autistic teenagers. As Disability Affairs Officer for Media Diversity Australia, she produced the award-winning Disability Reporting Handbook. She is a Carer Representative for Carers NSW, and spent seven years running support groups for the Autism Community Network in Sydney. Briana has advised on national projects regarding communication initiatives and health services.

A proud mother of five, Vanessa has lived experience having a son with a dual diagnosis of Down Syndrome and Autism. She has been a passionate advocate and voice not only for her son but for others in the community in need of support for over 20 years. Before joining ACN, she held key positions at a community organisation based in Sydney where she was highly regarded for her leadership skills and community outreach initiatives. Vanessa was appointed Chief Executive Officer of ACN in February 2023 and her passion for making a difference in communities shines through in her over 15 years of expertise in stakeholder relations, government and non-profit work.
