A throttle body is a device in a car's engine that controls how much air flows into the engine. It's a key part of the air intake system and is usually located between the air filter and the intake manifold, on the driver's side of the engine compartment. In fuel injected engines, the throttle body is the part of the air intake system that controls the amount of air flowing into the engine, in response to driver accelerator pedal input in the main.
