There are connectors onboard for a shelly. I have this working. There is a 2pin-connector labeled R5. Go right to it and there is a 3 or 4 pin (depends on the series) connector (the direction to the 2 buttons T and P). The first of the 3/4 pins is ground (PIN 20) the next has no meaning and the next (PIN 5) is +24V. You can use this as a power source for the shelly.

Hi. This was what I was looking for. A schema of the wiring can be useful in these situations. Had to watch the video a few times before I understood the wiring. Have you maybe already added a sensor to see if the garage door is open or closed?

yes it helped. I was looking for this Promatic - Shelly connection. So with Shelly homekit firmware, I can use Siri to open/close the door.Great.

Really helpful video, thanks! What’s the connector thing called that you spliced into the 24V output from the transformer? Looking to buy some online but not sure what they’re called. And where’s the brown wire going from the transformer, is it into the same terminal as the blue wire that goes to the Shelly?

Hi, I've tried this today and it doesn't work great for me. The Shelly device seems to die after the first impulse, perhaps the engine takes all the electricity?

Is it similar to Hormann Promatic 2? Anybody aware?

hey first thanks for sharing. i've used this method with (almost) success. In order to close/open the door, i have to press 2 times on shelly button in order to action it. e.g door closed and I want to open it: Press button on phone ( switch going to off and door stays closed) then i have to press again the button on phone (switch goes ON) and this time the door is opening. Its quite annoying to press 2 times for each close or open the door. any fix for this issue?

Can't you take 24V from the white connector next to where the switch is connected in the Hormann (so next to teh red/black connectors)?
