Very good idea! This will save allot of time over seeding the sheets by hand. Your build looks great, thank you so much for posting.

Check out the vacuum seeders. I have not used them but it looks like it works as well or better and it is a pretty simple concept.

have found the vacuum seeders are best used with round seeds or pelleted seeds only. They are great machines. Got mine from Ezy Seeder

Love the invention, if I may ask the tray size where the seeds are dropping is that to specs to a seed tray germination flat ?

Thanks! No, it was as per the mold we made in foam. 2x2 cm squares. But you could adjust it to any size.

You may want to attach the vacuum pipettes to an eccentric cam. The swing arm seems kludgy to me.

This was just a prototype which is no longer functional. We have switched to pelleted seeds which is much easier. You are welcome to check out the build plans at hackaday if you wish to try and build it

Hi dave, the current version has a few things that I would like to improve on, but what would you be using it for? Commercial or hobbyist?
@mr.b7403

Akash H it would be for hobby akash, but the mainstream seeders are just too expensive and way too much, this is simple and takes the repetitiveness out of seeding a 400 cell seed tray 1 by 1, I love it, do you have Any other way of contacting you akash?

Don't currently have any but I did put the full plans and source on hackaday in case you are technically inclined. The build does take a good amount of time and like I said there is scope for improvement. For example, there is no need to turn 320 each time but instead could turn about 40 and drop. I don't currently have time to make those changes but would be happy to work with anyone willing to give it a go. You can contact me through the contact form at Www.wattmon.com
