I'll be posting a tutorial on how to use Mesh Trails next week! Mesh Trails is a powerful VFX tool we made for ourselves and have used on multiple projects. Available now: meshtrails.com or blendermarket.com/products/meshtrails

Is there a tool for cape animation? Maybe anime like cape waves? Maybe a tool that plays cape animations on standard or common cape rigs that has 3 short chains of bones Or cape physics

@@mejaisstacks2627 There are some interesting techniques to do this I would check these two tutorials. kzitem.info/news/bejne/1W5vupmaiV-Jnpg kzitem.info/news/bejne/kpmO332gmnipi44 This is the only current way to do this besides manual animating.

Cannot wait for the tutorial on this addon. The one thing you can trust from Professor Goo and his crew (heh) is that they USE their addons/blender builds and they are made for just about any PC build or any type of scene.

What does alembic support mean? On the mesh trails site it still says it can't be exported, and I don't see much information on what that means. Is alembic a specific 3D program, or does it mean you can export to 3D programs like Unity/Unreal now?

With the latest update, Alembic support means that it CAN be exported as animated geometry using the Alembic file format! Sorry about the confusion, the website was outdated--I've fixed it now!

i think the addon is great! but as student paying 58 dolars + taxes are a big barrier to buy the product. i know there is a lot of effort on it and i understand artist needs to eat and all of that, but maybe a cheaper price will bring more buyers.

I cannot render when the plugin (Mesh trail) is activated in version 4.0 of blender, when I deactivate it everything works fine, it is worth mentioning that if I bake the animation and it doesn't work, what could I do? sorry I'm using google translate

Look like blender 4.0 is big update. Many of the plugins I installed were corrupted, the best solution currently is to use Blender 3.9, until the author updates the plugin

Struggling to find info on the difference between the Lite and pro versions of this add on. It says "Advanced Stylized Shader Pack" but doesnt actually show what that is. Like shich shaders are included in the diff versions.
@professorGoo
Жыл бұрын
The Lite version has no asset pack at all! But includes the Basic Gradient Shader built in with the addon. The pro version comes with the elemental asset pack you see in the demo! I've just updated the product description to make it more clear!
