You cannot say that you can make melodies like Avicii can be even close to Easy, he was the most talented man on Earth, he is the closest we will ever have to perfect music.

mhm its okey but most of his melodies were much more complex ... f.e. the days, though love, always on the run, ... and avicii isnt melody only - the most important in my opinion was the way he picked chords, bass and melodies so that they fit perfectly together! Listen carefully to his chord progressions and bass lines in the background! They even make this simple SOS melody sound so good!

Of course, Avicii could do more than A1-A2-A3-B, but it was ONE tool out of its trickbox. I think that's what Alex wanted to show us. And he did it great.

I think you're the first one to say it properly. I understand alex's point but aviciis music was way deeper than just that system. The harmonies and melodies were on another deep level and not just some random structure. Also the fact of repetition in nowadays music isn't something unique to be honest. Even before avicii alot of rap and hip-hop artists used to follow such patterns as aaab . It sounds unique only to producers that are not really advanced but to most producers that are doing it seriously , they all know that pattern

Congratz you found a trick that's been used by literally every edm producers since decades The beauty in avicii melodies lies in some sort of weird geometry in the music that speaks to our emotions, that you didn't begin to imagine, and that is out of the grasp of human knowledge in 2019.

It's called antecedent. All nursery rhymes have it. It's not something that makes his melodies memorable it's something that makes any melody memorable. You're just putting his name in the title for search and views. But that's OK.
@AlexRome

Dan 1961 gotta grow somehow (;. But it’s called melodic form, or just form. Antecedent doesn’t pertain just to music or rhythm.
@Dan-gb5hm

@@AlexRome Yes it does. It's what we called it in music theory 50 years ago. That's why you don't know ther term. 😁 Just putting letters together only explains that it happens not why it makes sense.

I truly believe that if you got a marketing and production team then you would do well with selling classes on this stuff. Your approach is different than everyone else's. You don't try to convince people that they need to know the proper nomenclature of music theory, you aren't pedantic, and you teach your viewers in a way that both absolute neophytes and trained musicians could learn. You are not belittling, nor are you confusing. That said, I couldn't imagine paying money for a modern course that appears as though it was made in the 80s.
