I moved from New Jersey almost two years ago. I made my decision to retire to Hilton Head after vacationing over a decade ago. I spent many years traveling the country and never came across an area as beautiful at Beaufort county. Great video!

When I left Long Island, NY in 1992 right after undergrad school and headed for South Carolina, my family and friends thought I was crazy. They would say things like, "They're still fighting the Civil War down there!", and "They don't like Yankees!". I have NEVER had an issue. I have lived in Greenville, Anderson, and now Myrtle Beach and my family and I have a WONDERFUL quality of life. BTW- the same friends and family who thought I was crazy are asking me for relocation help!

Good Morning Ms Sue. I also have lived here for 34 years. I do so love it here despite the Bugs, Gators, Spiders and Crazy drivers. I live at the end of the MCAS Runway 5. I am Retired now from GE Aircraft Engines and do not like the Noisy F-35's. Thank goodness , I had another Career to stay busy and support myself. 26 years and you probably have heard of me about Town. Retired from that too. You have probably seen Statues of me around Town. They suck no matter where you live in the summer lol. I’ve been in Ohio too long the taxes here is way higher than most places I’ve been lol as for hurricanes?
