Thanks alot Ammy for this video. I think it depends on the type of Nigerian you meet. I sent my first child at 17yrs to Canada alone and was so sure his classmate in Nigeria who was already in Canada with his elder sisters would show my child the ropes and help him settle in fast. The sister of the boy stopped taking my calls when my son was about to leave while the boy started as my son was about to land in the province. Thank God I had chatted and gotten accommodation for him before he got there. He was picked up at the airport by his landlady and taken for grocery shopping. The Asian woman even offered to do more but my son kept telling her that his friend will come n help him out but he never came. My son survived on bread and Chicken his landlady bought him the day he landed still waiting and hoping that his friend would show up. The boy kept giving my son all sorts of excuses and I saw the handwriting on the wall. He said my son shld come and look for him wheñ he knew my son was new n didn't even have a sim card. To cut the story short, one day he came looking for someone where my son resides and was so shocked to see my son but he still didn't help. But God did it for my son. Another senior from his high school in Nigeria came there to visit someone else and saw my son and my son explained his predicament to him and he helped with account opening/getting a sim/etc. In fact, I cried as a mother because it took my son to get food to eat after 3days of landing in Canada. Had to contact a friend who organized how my son would get food to eat. Finally, the fact that someone did that to my son dosen't mean that he should do that to someone else. I told him to always help out anyway he can if he sees anyone in distress and he's been doing that for other new students. I'm proud to have 2kids there studying and making us proud.

This is such a touching and nice story. I am so happy your children are doing so well. They will continue to make you proud and all your efforts on them will never be wasted. Also, you are a great mother for telling your child not to pay evil forward. This is one of the nicest things I have read in a while. God bless you and your children and thank you for watching.

I would not 100% agree with that statement about avoiding other Nigerians when you relocate abroad. Unless you plan on fully assimilating into that country's culture and disowning your roots. I do agree that you have to vet who you associate with this includes everyone whether Nigerian or not. And you need to limit all the personal information you share with them.

Thank you so much for this video. Really insightful. People need community and it doesn't even make any sense trying to alienate oneself from the fold. There are bad people everywhere...just find the right ones and be careful. You look amazing by the way.❤️❤️

You have really done justice to this video Amy😅😂😂🙌🙌🙌 if I ever come to Calgary, will definitely be linking up with you 🥰💃🏻You are the kind of Nigerians we want. And to be honest, the most important thing I held on to in this video is when you said, there are bad people in every part of the world, every race and every nationality. Thank you for this Amy

Me, I want to see adventure, I want to see parks and experience centers, the fun things I could do as a tourist and where I could go if I do come to Canada. I liked that vlog when you showed clips from the Farmers market. Also, does Canada have culture, like are there cultural events and stuff like that?

Yes Michelle, there is indigenous culture in Canada that you can experience, especially in Edmonton. It is so much fun in the summer, visiting nice places.

Came from the UK to Canada, and I did not start from scratch both in the UK and in Canada. Take home is, from all of the advice people give, pick what is yours and discard the rest. Relate with people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't believe anybody told you to run from Nigerians abroad, you are just expressing your personal opinion or your family advise. You just export your tribalism abroad and try to disguise with " run from Nigerians slogan". For you to write this kind of title on your video, people should stay away from you.
